Kaelynn received a $50 cash prize and her poster will be entered into the District 35 Peace Poster contest competition. She was recognized and congratulated by school Principal Simon Nelson, Lions Christy Holland, Arlene Vause and her art teacher, Rhiana Tucker.
The peace poster contest is an annual project of Lions Club International and middle school age students from all over the world are encouraged to enter. A different theme is selected for every year and students may enter with a picture or essay. The Sopchoppy Lions Club boasts several district and state contest winners since introduction of the project by Lion Marshall Cato, a devoted club member.
