FRIDAY, SEPT. 16
• Deputy Michelle Stripling responded to the Sheriff’s Office Annex reference a battery already occurred. Upon arrival contact was made with Tammy Vaillancourt, who said she was in her home on Sept. 12 when she received a notification of motion from her security camera. Vaillancourt observed an unknown white male standing in her yard looking in a window. She then walked out of her residence and walked around the house. The male grabbed her by the wrist, but she headbutted and kicked him to break free. The male then ran into the woods. Vaillancourt only wanted the incident documented and signed an affidavit for non-prosecution.
SATURDAY, SEPT. 17
• Lt. David Pienta responded to the area of Port Leon Drive and Highway 98 in reference to a possible road rage incident. Lt. Pienta made contact with Sergio Navarro, who said someone was tailgating him so when he tapped his brakes to let the person know they were too close, the driver became very aggressive and passed him, then abruptly stopped in the roadway. Navarro advised the driver exited his vehicle and started to approach Navarro’s vehicle. Fearing for his safety, Navarro removed his firearm from his glovebox. The other driver then returned to his vehicle and left the scene. Lt. Pienta was unable to locate the other driver in this case.
SUNIDAY, SEPT. 18
• Paul Kinney reported that he discovered his golf cart had been stolen. Kinney stated the golf cart is a green in color EZ-GO electric style valued at $2,000. Kinney did not have any serial numbers for the golf cart therefore in was not entered into NCI/FCIC as stolen. This case has been sent to detectives for further investigation. Deputy Kendrick Gavin investigated.
MONDAY, SEPT. 19
• Deputy Jake Scott responded to Sweetwater Circle in reference to fraud. Contact was made with Theresa and Michael Allen. Theresa stated her mother is being scammed by someone claiming to be four-star General Paul LaCamera based in Korea. The individual has talked the victim into sending several thousand dollars thus far. The victim refuses to believe it is a scam and has moved her money around to keep her kids from looking at the account. The money has been sent to supposed investment accounts. The victim’s children have power of attorney for the victim. This case has been sent to detectives for further investigation.
TUESDAY, SEPT. 20
• Deputy William Bennett responded to Rock Landing Road about a disturbance. Pamela Holderby stated Mickey Rymer held a knife to her and threatened her, but she refused to get off the boat. Mickey’s boat was approximately 200 yards offshore anchored. Both parties were intoxicated. With the assistance of FWC, Deputy Ernesto Trujillo was also on scene made contact with both parties on the boat. Neither person had any marks, both claimed different stories, and Pamela stated Mickey had tossed the knife off the boat. A search of the boat was conducted for the knife by FWC. • Deputy Michelle Stripling responded to Grapevine Drive about the theft of a cell phone. Contact was made with the juvenile victim and his mother Anna Woolf. Woolf said her son had dropped his iPhone 13 on the bus and did not realize until a few minutes later. Contact was made with the bus garage and the bus footage was observed by school staff. The video showed other juveniles pick the phone up and leave with it. The juvenile received an Instagram message around 6 p.m. stating other students at the school had taken the phone, and one of them was trying to sell it for $200. This case has been sent to detectives for further investigation.
THURSDAY, SEPT. 22
• Tina Nichols reported the theft of plants out of her garden. Nichols stated 10 Aloe plants were taken. Nichols valued all the plants at approximately $300. A possible suspect has been identified. This case has been sent to detectives for further investigation. Deputy Kendrick Gavin investigated.
