Ecclesia Outreach Ministry held its 9th annual Unity in the Community event on Saturday, Sept. 24. Honorees included Marsha Tucker, above, for the Heart of Wakulla award, but she was ill and could not attend. Other honorees included Robin Fogt of the Ochlockonee Bay UMC Food Bank for Assisting Those in Need award; Dr. Dave Pierce for the Giving Back award; William Snowden of The Wakulla Sun for the Strong Leadership award; Mother Hattie McGrew for the Acts of Kindess award; and the late George and Arata Franklin for a Special Recognition accepted by their children, Audrey Franklin Coles, Corine Triplett, and Pastor Eddie Franklin. The event was organized by the Rev. Renita Dixon, at the podium.
