This report is for activity Dec. 8-14:

FRIDAY, DEC. 8

  • Jessica Flowers was arrested after she stuck another female in the face. The two had been arguing at the Dollar store when Flowers physically attacked the victim. Flowers was located by deputies and arrested for battery. Deputy Dylan Causseaux investigated.

SATURDAY, DEC. 9

  • Deputy Ernesto Trujillo observed a Red GMC Truck speeding and swerving over the centerline on Crawfordville Highway near the Leon County line. Deputy Trujillo conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver John McDonald who appeared to be highly intoxicated. McDonald refused to participate in sobriety field exercises and was subsequently arrested for DUI.

SUNDAY, DEC. 10

  • Deputies received a call regarding a battery at Dux Bar. Upon arrival security officers advised they had asked Emily Hamilton to leave the bar due to her being aggressive with other patrons, Hamilton was also accused of striking both security officers before the deputies arrived. After a brief investigation deputies arrested Hamilton. While being cuffed Hamilton attempted several times to strike and kick at the deputies, Hamilton eventually complied after she was Tasered by deputies on scene. Deputies Norman De Guzman and Ernesto Trujillo investigated.

MONDAY, DEC. 11

  • Deputy Jake Scott conducted a traffic stop on County Line Road, and the driver, Brent Lawhon was determined to not possess a valid driver’s license and to have multiple prior convictions for Driving While License Suspended or Revoked (DWLSR). Upon further investigation, Brent was found to be a convicted felon and a firearm was located in the vehicle. Brent was arrested for DWLSR and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Upon entry into the Wakulla County Jail a search of Brent’s person was conducted by jail staff. During this search Brent Lawhon was also found to be in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. He was subsequently charged along with introduction of contraband into a controlled facility.

WEDNESDAY, DEC. 13

  • Carrie Anderson reported her wallet being stolen from her friend’s vehicle while they were inside Winn-Dixie. Carrie stated after shopping she returned to the vehicle and the wallet containing her Social Security card and Florida Driver’s License was missing. This case has been sent to detectives for further investigation. Deputy Dustin Matthews investigated.
  • An employee with Winn Dixie reported an unknown black male suspect attempting to pass a counterfeit $100 bill. After the cashier alerted the office associate, the suspect left the store in a silver Honda SUV which was parked in the rear of the store. The fake currency was seized and submitted into evidence. This case has been sent to detectives for further investigation. Deputy Matt Hinson investigated.
