What amazing weather we’ve been enjoying the past two weeks! It was absolutely perfect last weekend, considering all the fun activities going on in Wakulla County and Tallahassee.
Many thanks to everyone who supported the fundraiser/yard sale for the Food Pantry at the Wakulla United Methodist Church. They earned more than $300 to help purchase food for folks having a hard time right now. Kudos to George and Gloria Dock for organizing this event!
This coming Sunday the Wakulla UMC will celebrate Communion and gather after the service for our monthly fellowship dinner. Everyone is welcome to join us at 10 a.m. for church, and at 11 a.m. for a delicious covered dish dinner. Hope to see you there!
Our Springer Spaniel, Beau, had his two week post-op check, and passed with flying colors. Now we are tasked with keeping him “quiet” for four more weeks. This boils down to keeping him on a leash for the next month. Bless him, he is being so good, despite straining to be foot-loose!
Happy birthday to John Collomy! Please keep his sister, Janet, in your prayers as she is recovering in hospital from health issues. My cousin, Mike Harrison, needs prayers as he undergoes chemotherapy for bladder cancer in Orlando. My cousin Sarah Kane covets your prayers as she seeks treatment for health concerns also.
I’m happy to report Clem Bunker is making good progress in healing from several fractures; Norma Woodcock, and Thelma Watts remain in good spirits during rehab; the Rev. John Hay, Deborah Giles (sister of Cindy Blackstock) and Pam Adams’ brother, Scott, need our prayers, as does Jimmy Gainey. Please continue to lift the family of Sondra Martin as they mourn her loss.
