CHRISTIAN RELATIONSHIPS.
We are to be followers of Christ, and to live like Christ. You will have an opportunity to consider that Christ-likeness in our relationships points others to Christ.
Don’t be a fault-finder.
Matthew 7:1: “Judge not, that ye be not judged.” That is one of the most quoted, most used, and most misused or corrected verses.
Some use it as a defense against any sort of criticism or correction. Jesus commended a right judgment that is not based on appearances. Some people are always sizing up everyone else and they feel good condemning them for their faults.
Jesus taught about faultfinding and then he taught about prayer.
Matthew 7:7: “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.”
We ask God for what we need and for His Kingdom to come.
We begin to seek for the answer. We know that He hears us. Christians move forward to see God moving and knock so they can enter into the answer for which they have prayed.
Jesus used the present command to asking, seeking, and knocking. We are to be persistent in seeking God.
Prayer is about continued confidence that God will answer.
Matthew 7:8: “For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.”
