The Wakulla Middle School Lady Wildcats opened up their season with a brand-new team and a new head coach, Coach Kelly Mitchem. Coach Stacy Pfeifer, current Teacher of the Month, returned to help lead the girls to another successful season.
The Wakulla Middle School Lady Wildcats started strong on Nov. 2 with a win against West Gadsden.
7th grader Sophia Stolk put the Wildcats on the board with the first goal of the season. Two more goals were scored by 7th graders, Morghyn Milligan and Jolee Harden. Final Score: 3-2.
The girls experienced a loss against a strong Taylor County team on Nov. 3. WMS keeper, Madison Varnes, put on a great show by stopping many goals against a tough Taylor County offense.
The WMS Wildcats are hoping to get their second win against longtime rivals, Riversprings Middle School, on Nov. 8.
