David Lee King

David Lee King, 75, of Crawfordville died unexpectedly  on Friday, March 17, 2023.
David was a lifelong resident of Wakulla County, and graduated from Sopchoppy High School. David was a United States Air Force veteran, and retired after 44 years of service with the phone company Sprint/Centel. David was a wealth of knowledge and had a huge heart with a gift of gab. He loved to hunt and fish, and adored his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years Karen King; two sons, Chris and his wife Gigi, Mike and his wife Brandy; three sisters, Sherry and her husband Wayne, Sandra and her husband Lamar, and Alice; seven grandchildren, Michael, Victoria, Cameron, Cierra, Lexi, Hali, and Layna.
David was predeceased by his parents, Lee and Anice King; a daughter, Melanie; a sister, Carol; and a stepson, Kevin Nelms.
Celebration Service of David’s life will be 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at Family Funeral Home in Harvey Young Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, and the burial will be at the Tallahassee National Cemetery with full military honors.
