Memorial Day observance
The annual Memorial Day ceremony of remembrance was held on the courthouse grounds on Monday, May 29.

Naval JROTC cadets lowered the flag to half-staff, and members of the VFW placed a memorial wreath.
Army veteran and county commissioner Fred Nichols was the keynote speaker.
County Veterans Service Officer Winston Murphy organized the event and recited the names of every fallen soldier from Wakulla since the Civil War.
There was a large crowd for the event.
