APPRAISER’S OFFICE’S PEYTON BENNETT RECEIVES CERTIFICATION
Special to The Sun
Peyton Bennett was recently awarded a Certified Property Evaluator (CFE) designation by the Florida Department of Revenue (DOR). This designation is the culmination of 120 hours of training and 2 years of experience.
Bennett is the property appraiser’s expert on cadastral maps. Cadastral maps show the outlines of property parcels throughout Wakulla County and are used extensively used by local real estate professionals. Mr. Bennett blends information from surveys, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and other maps and property descriptions to maintain correct maps. His work can be found by viewing maps at WWW.MyWakullaPA.com.
Ed Brimner, CFA, the Wakulla County Property Appraiser, commented, “I’m very proud of Peyton. Our maps today are better than they have ever been. Our service continues to improve as he and other employees pursue career development goals.”
The Property Appraiser’s office has 12 employees, six of whom have earned a certification from DOR. Two other staff members will earn their designations by the end of 2023.
Every person in the office is encouraged to continue their professional education.
