By ETHEL SKIPPERWhen we give our life to Christ, we live not merely saved or rescued from sin and death, we are changed.
When one accepts Christ as their Lord and Savior, it is a new life.
Our lives are to be different from what they would have been without Christ. Christian conversion involves turning over our lives to God. (Romans 12:2) Be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that is good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
God’s will for us is that we love God and love others as a true gauge of spiritual maturity. Let us grow in love for each other.
God commendenth His love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Skipper Temple Church invites you to fellowship with us on Sunday, July 23 at 11 a.m. Guest speaker will be Pastor Henry J. Simmons from Columbia, South Carolina. Singing will be by the daughters of the late Bishop Joseph E. Rosier. Everyone is welcome.
Our prayers and concern goes out to all the sick and shut-in, those in hospitals, nursing homes, prison, the homeless, those who have lost loved ones and family members. Let us pray for one another, and reach out to those in need everywhere. Let us pray one for the other.
