ROTARY VALENTINE FESTIVAL IS SET FOR SATURDAY

The festival season kicks off on Saturday with the Rotary Club of Wakulla’s annual Valentine Festival and Parade.
This year also marks the return of a pre-festival run: a 1-mile Wak-Color Fun Run in partnership with the Wakulla County Health Department. Registration is at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday at the TCC Wakulla office. The race begins at 8 a.m.
With the closure of Hudson Park for renovations, the festival’s vendors will be set up at Azalea Park.
The popular parade will kick off at 10 a.m. and follow the usual parade route from north of Azalea Park to near the Courthouse. Crawfordville Highway will be closed to traffic during the parade.
Saturday, February 11
• The Wakulla Rotary Club’s 24th Annual Valentine’s Day Parade and Festival will be held at Azalea Park. The Wak-Color Run will begin at 8 a.m. and the parade will begin at 10 a.m.
• The Wakulla Community Theater Variety Show will be held in the Sopchoppy Auditorium at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 at Capital City Bank in Crawfordville or at McIver Flooring or $20 at the door.
• The 35th Annual FLASH 6k/12k run will be held in St. Marks. More information can be found at https://runsignup.com/Race/FL/StMarks/Flash12K6K.

VETERANS TOWN HALL IS SET FOR FEB. 28

A Veterans Town Hall Meeting has been rescheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 28. The meeting will be held at the Wakulla County Community Center in the Crawfordville Room from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The purpose of the meeting is to improve communication with and hear directly from veterans. Additionally, you will receive updates from Veterans Service Officer
Winston Murphy and can ask questions and provide feedback on VA Services.
