Wakulla Station News

By VERNA BROCK

Happy 70th birthday to my friend, Sue Thornton Austin. She is celebrating with family and friends all this week! Also celebrating a birthday is Sam Jose, who is turning 12.
Congratulations to each of the teams from Wakulla County who participated in the Odyssey of the Mind competition in Orlando two weekends ago. It was a challenging and exciting experience for everyone involved.
This past Saturday, my family had a fun day at the St. Marks Powder annual picnic, held at what  we old-timers refer to as the “Olin Campgrounds,” located on the Wakulla River. It was a beautiful day, spent with friends and family, enjoying the festivities.
Afterwards, Ed and I got to enjoy spending time with grandchildren, Harrison and Harper Rodgers, while their parents traveled to Troy, Alabama. Brian and Eden were there to celebrate Eden’s former pitching coach, Barb Sherwood, being inducted into the Troy University Hall of Fame for all of her accomplishments there. Coach Sherwood also worked with Sally Wheeler, who was also able to join in honoring her former coach. It is a small world!
Please continue to lift Sebastian Mosley and his family in your prayers, as well as the Sloan-Peacock family, the Carter family, the Kendrick family, and the Hobby family. Also in need of prayers are Faye Sweeney, Norma Woodcock, and Linda Dunwoody.
