This report is for activities May 3-9:

FRIDAY, MAY 3

  • An employee with CVS was contacted by phone call in which the suspect stated they were from CVS Corporate. The employee was on the phone with this subject for multiple hours. During this time the alleged corporate personnel member had the CVS employee activate multiple gift cards totaling approximately $16,000. This case has been sent to detectives for further investigation.
  • Deputy Edwin Grove responded to an address on Renee Street to Aaron Swain having warrants out of Leon County. During a search incident to arrest, a small baggie of meth was discovered in Swain’s pocket. Swain was taken into custody and transported to the jail facility without incident.
  • Deputy Nick Gray responded to Tram Circle and made contact with Lynn Vickers, who stated her purse was stolen from her grocery cart while shopping at Walmart. Vickers’ purse contained several hundred dollars in cash, along with other items of value. This case has been sent to detectives for further investigation.

SATURDAY, MAY 4

  • A truck with a boat trailer was towed after complaints that it was blocking multiple vehicles while at the boat ramp at the fort in St. Marks.
  • Deputy Heather Will responded to the Stow Away storage center and made contact with Chiquita Daniels, who stated she arrived at her storage unit and discovered it had been burglarized. Daniels stated approximately $1,000 in miscellaneous tools were stolen. This case has been sent to detectives for further investigations.

SUNDAY, MAY 5

  • Deputies Don Newsome and James Godwin responded to the Wildwood RV Park and made contact with Jonathan Ullcom, who stated he paid $1,784 on or about April 15th for RV repairs and the suspect has refused to complete the agreed upon repairs. This case has been sent to detectives for further investigation.

MONDAY, MAY 6

  • Deputy James Williams was dispatched to Bloxham Cutoff Road in reference to a possible fraud. Upon arrival Deputy Williams made contact with Jo Barksdale, who said she had been communicating (via telephone) with someone saying they were with the Federal Trade Commission, and they were doing an investigation. They further advised that she should not contact law enforcement. Upon further investigation it was determined to be a “scam.”
  • Deputy Ernesto Trujillo responded to the Dollar General on Woodville Highway in reference to someone taking items without paying. Upon arrival Deputy Trujillo made contact with Rosemary Colvin, who advised two females entered the store with no items and then later left the store with a shopping bag with items but did not go through the checkout line. This case has been sent to detectives for further investigation.

TUESDAY, MAY 7

  • Deputy James Williams responded to Centerline Road in reference to someone spinning up the complainant’s yard. Upon arrival Deputy Williams made contact with Martin Causseaux, who said that sometime last night someone came onto his property and spun up his yard causing ruts and damage to his driveway. This case has been sent to detectives for further investigation.
  • Deputy Montgomery responded to Harvey Mill Road in reference to someone damaging the complainant’s gate. Upon arrival Deputy Montgomery made contact with William Harvey, who stated when he drove by his property, he noticed someone had damaged his gate. Harvey advised when he got out to investigate the lock and chain was also broken. This case has been sent to detectives for further investigation.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 8

  • A traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle for no tag displayed. The driver Joshua Sparks was discovered to not possess a valid license. Sparks was placed under arrest and transported to jail. Deputy Dakota Haddock investigated.
  • Walmart Asset Protection reported observing nail salon employee Ban Dinh taking items without purchase. Dinh was taken into custody and transported to the jail facility. Deputy Zac Monroe investigated.

THURSDAY, MAY 9

  • Deputy Anthony Paul conducted a vehicle stop for an obstructed view of tag. During the car stop the driver fled from the vehicle. After a brief foot pursuit, the suspect was apprehended. The suspect was identified as Richard Allen Sanders. Further investigation revealed Sanders’ license was suspended and he was in possession of Fentanyl and other pill form medication. Sanders also had two warrants for failure to appear for burglary charges from Levy County. Sanders was arrested and taken to the Wakulla County Jail.
  • Edward Bond reported someone stealing tools from a house he is remodeling. Taken was a set of sockets and a 4.5 hp outboard motor. Bond estimated both items at approximately $400. This case has been sent to detectives for further investigation. Deputy Payden Surrette investigated.
