Folks, I believe we have officially entered the “busy season.” From here on out, in the immortal words of Calvin and Hobbs, “The days are FULL!”
This coming Friday evening Shadeville Elementary School PTO is hosting its annual Fall Festival fundraiser. Always a hit, this event offers lots of family friendly activities, while proceeds go directly to programs and teachers. Come on out for this much anticipated tradition, have a great time, and help enrich students’ education.
Homecoming at the Wakulla United Methodist Church was a good time for everyone, Thank you to everyone who came out to share fellowship and food while reminiscing about those who came before us. It was particularly wonderful to have pianist Jennifer Brown with us then, and now, The gift of music is priceless!
If you are searching for a church that is loving and seeking the guidance of the Holy Spirit, check out the Wakulla UMC. It’s easy to find, just look for the log cabin church on the bike trail in Wakulla Station.
Please keep Steve Montgomery in your prayers as he recovers from knee surgery this past Monday. Also in need of prayers is the family of Jason Rudd, whose mother succumbed to serious health issues last week . My parents’ ARNP, Pam Garcia, lost her beloved husband to cancer last week , after a valiant struggle, and their family also needs our prayerful support.
I am certain people of good will everywhere are praying for the peace of Israel, and an end to the horrible conflict ignited by Hamas terrorists. The sad waste of life we’ve witnessed in the Holy Land joins the ongoing tragedy in Ukraine, and I ask each of you to lift prayers for peace.
Little Sebastian Mosely-Bennett is thriving, growing in leaps and bounds, as he makes up for the year he spent in Shands receiving life-saving surgeries and medical support. What an age of miracles we live in! Baby Bennie Mott continues to need our prayerful support as he fights a brain tumor. The family of Donald Garrison seeks our prayers as he has passed away.
Even as we grieve the loss of loved ones, we celebrate the birth of a new baby girl. Congratulations to Brooke Smith and Zac Roshong as their beautiful, precious Paisley Grace has arrived! Technically, this makes me a great-grandmother, and I am delighted.
Plans continue for the upcoming 2024 Woodville Founders Day festival in March. The Woodville VFD has vendor registration forms on its facebook and web pages. Vendor fees are only $25 per site and go directly to support the purchase of vital fire-fighting equipment.
