Christians can live victoriously and confidently in Christ.
1 John 5:4 Whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world, and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
John’s instructions for success as a believer in Christ he calls overcoming the world. He talks of familiar themes such as love, truth, and having much faith in believing Jesus Christ who came in human flesh.
These truths form the foundation for a victorious Christian life.
We can obey the commandments of God, and be confident God will hear our prayers and live victorious over the world.
Living a victorious Christian life in this evil world is now and has always been a challenge. Therefore, let us continually encourage and help other brothers and sisters in Christ to live a victorious life for Christ in this age.
Macedonia Community Church of Christ W.I.H. will celebrate its annual Mother Mary E. Green Day.
Mother Green was the chruch’s leading woman as a mother to everyone. She was a midwife and doctor for the community of Buckhorn and Sopchoppy. She still is remembered by many people.
The service will be on Sunday, April 28 at 11 a.m. Speaker will be Bishop Alfred Nelson. Everyone is welcome.
The Northwest Florida Diocese District Meeting of the Church of Christ Written in Heaven will be held April 24-28 in Quincy at the Shilo Church of Christ W.I.H. Nightly services at 7:30 p.m. Sunday school at 10 a.m., fellowship at 11:30 a.m.
