Problem with Kids Corner

Editor, The Sun:

Please rethink your Kid’s Corner “What’s the Difference?” puzzle. Wakulla Sun, April 25 puzzle shows two black and white photos stating there are four differences to be detected. The photo is out of focus in places and we are tasked with finding four differences.
One difference revealed in the answers states there is a difference of “a flower in the blue pot.” There is NO COLOR! Another clue advised “missing plant on cart.” Where is the cart???
I know you can provide better than this, please?

Susan Sentman

Editor: Sorry. You’re right about the color. We download a color Kids Corner feature but the page is printed in black & white. Not to send you to our website, but every page of the e-edition is in color and you can see the blue pot there. While the page did print a little dark, the cart is visible at the elbow of the gardener and a plant is missing.
Still, your point is taken: We need to be more aware of when a color feature is on a black & white page.

American Legion repairs flagpole

Editor, The Sun:

On Monday, May 6 at 8 a.m., a few members of American Legion Post 114 were at Eden Springs Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Wakulla to make adjustments and repairs to the (Eden Springs) flagpole so that the Center can once again raise the National Colors. Talquin Electric also assisted in this project by providing the bucket truck and operator.
The flag pole restoration project is part of a larger plan to let the veterans who are residents, whether short- or long- term, know that we are here to support them. Those plans include visitations to those who desire the camaraderie of fellow veterans.
There will be a flag raising ceremony at the center on Memorial Day, following the annual Wakulla County’s Memorial Day Ceremony at the Courthouse. Tentatively, the time for the flag raising ceremony will be at 12 noon. The public is invited.
Sincerely,

Roxann Dressel
Commander
