Wakulla County Public Library hosted a Star Wars themed event for May the Fourth Be With You on Saturday.

With costumes encouraged, children and adults of all ages participated in activities such as Chewbacca Puppet Crafts, Storm Trooper Target Practice, Kessel Run, Mind Games and a meet and greet with Star Wars character Boba Fett.
Library Director Linda Oaks said, “This is a great turn out and its great to see the community having fun and getting acquainted with the great services their library has to offer.”
A Kessel Run was available for runners to test their speed on foot. Will Bartnik, Library Assistant manned the station.
“This is the only opportunity ever for kids to run in the library,” said Bartnik.
The Storm Trooper Target Practice was a great opportunity to throw bean bags and hit a distanced target to break apart into pieces. Marquetta Cowley and Linda Oaks headed the target practice event.
Guests to the event earned tokens after each station to be used to pay Star Wars character Boba Fett ransom to free famous prisoner Jedi Droid R2D2 after a meet and greet with Boba Fett who is known for his customized Mandalorian armor, deadly weaponry and silent demeanor.
Lauren Latham and Lisa Herron fed the hungry Jedi trainees with Jedi Snacks afterwards.
