FRIDAY, MAY 31

  • Wilhelmina Morrison reported leaving her purse in a cart while at Wal Mart. The purse was retuned to customer service but she was missing her cash money. Morrison stated $300 in cash was taken from her purse. This case has been sent to detectives for further investigation. Deputy Edwin Grove investigated.

SATURDAY, JUNE 1

  • Deputy Zach Godwin responded to the Circle K on U.S. Highway 319 in reference to retail theft observed by customers. Deputy Godwin upon arrival spoke with two witnesses who both advised they had observed two young white females steal two bottles of wine and then walk over to the beer cooler and conceal a can of Twisted Tea in their clothing before leaving the store. Video surveillance was viewed and showed the two young females stealing the property. The store clerk stated the property was valued at $15.77. This case has been sent to detectives for further investigation.

SUNDAY, JUNE 2

  • Deputies responded to Walmart for a report of two unknown subjects passing the last point of sale with unpaid merchandise. Taken was approximately $220 worth of merchandise. Security footage is available from this incident. This case has been sent to detectives for further investigation.

TUESDAY, JUNE 4

  • Deputy William Montgomery responded to Summerwood Drive in reference to a property standby. Upon arrival Deputy Montgomery made contact with the rental agent for a property. The agent advised the tenant has moved out of the residence and nobody should be there. Upon further investigation Clayton Reams and Brittany Doster-Wheeler were found in the residence. Both subjects were arrested and transported to the Wakulla County Jail for trespass after warning and criminal mischief.
  • Wal-mart Asset Protection reported watching an unknown black male suspect on closed circuit TV enter Walmart via the automotive section and later exit via the garden center. The employee advised the suspect had shopping cart full of merchandise, however he was only able to identify a few items in the cart. Upon exiting via the garden center the suspect passed the last point of sales without paying for the items. This case has been sent to detectives for further investigation. Deputy Dustin Matthews investigated.

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 5

  • Deputy Don Newsome responded to Autumn Woods Way and made contact with Louis Cravens, who returned to his residence which he is currently moving into and discovered several items were missing. Cravens discovered a boat motor among other items stolen, totaling approximately $1,500. This case has been sent to detectives for further investigation.

THURSDAY, JUNE 6

  • William Martin reported a check from his account had been altered. Martin wrote a check for $330 to Poppell Financial for tax purposes. Martin discovered the check had been altered to $3,400 for landscaping purposes. Martin believes the check might have been taken from his mailbox. This case has been sent to detectives for further investigation. Deputy Zac Monroe investigated.
  • Deputy Heather Will conducted a car stop on U.S. Highway 98. During the stop it was discovered Alivia Hay was in possession of methamphetamine. Hay was subsequently arrested and transported to the Wakulla County Jail.
