I hope everyone had a wonderful Father’s Day. My family was able to get together on Saturday to celebrate a couple of June birthdays and Father’s Day, and had a great time. It was fun to all be together (for the most part) and just visit for a while. What a blessing!

Pam Adams shared a report from the Annual Conference of United Methodists in Lakeland this past Sunday morning. The two best things were the reappointment of Pastor Steve Montgomery for another year; and a new grant program being designed to help fight childhood hunger in Florida.

WHEW! Watching the FSU baseball team in Omaha has been a real roller coaster ride! The Gators haven’t been any more relaxing either. Here’s hoping both teams keep winning for a while more.

I know you all share my excitement, nay, joy, at getting a few drops of rain this weekend. Our grass has gotten downright crunchy, and my flowers are beyond wilted…I fear this is going to be a long hot summer.
Thank you for lifting our neighbors and friends who are standing in the need of prayer. Two year old Jordan Cooper, Cindy Blackstock, her sister Deborah Giles, Patti Moxley and the Moxley family, Mary Jo Dowling, Thelma Watts, Becky Perkins, Clem Bunker, and the family of Katie Page all need our prayerful support.
