Two weeks ago on Saturday in Sopchoppy there was a backpack giveaway. I love to see these type of events. I appreciate everyone involved in this event. This event was at City Hall and had many sponsors.
Our youth is our future. This is awesome and I really appreciate them bringing this event to my community.
I saw some surveying going on in Sopchoppy. I asked one of the guys about it and he said it has something to do with drainage. I guess they are going to upgrade some drainage. I hope they don’t take out my trees for this drainage. I have trees that border my property that are a great natural privacy fence. Well anyway, the surveyor said he told his dad where he was working (Sopchoppy) “The worm grunting capital” I told him I was viral on TikTok grunting worms. He was very interested and asked would I show him today or tomorrow.
I told him sure… Y’all I showed two workers how we doooooo it. By the way, they looked me up. He also said he liked my song “Take Me Home” and shared it with his friends. He said he was from Panama City but has family in North Carolina or something like that. They loved it. We recorded a video and it is available on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.
I love sharing our culture with others. People love seeing it. We actually got a worm even though it was really hot. I told them all about worm grunting and why it works. We had a good time.
I even showed them some blueberries on the property. Sopchoppy is a special place. I love sharing why it is so special. We must protect Sopchoppy.
