Joe Reyes – 12th grader at Wakulla High School
Achievements/Reason for Nomination: Wakulla High School selected Joe Reyes as its first Student of the Week for the 2024-25 school year! Joe is the son of Regina Reyes and brother to Yesinia, Ana, and Luna. He is a member of the War Eagles Baseball team, SOAR Student Council, and “Mayor” of the Friday Night Lights War Eagle Student Section. He was selected by the Guidance Department for his impressive start to senior year. Joe has a magnetic personality and ia an unassuming leader. Joe is thankful for his two favorite teachers, Mrs. Lee Lariscy and Ms. Brooke Post, for helping him through his educational journey at WHS. Mrs. Lariscy says of Joe, “I’ve had the pleasure of teaching Joe three of his four math classes at Wakulla High School. Witnessing his academic and personal growth over the years has been inspirational. Joe is responsible, eager to perform well, polite, and kind to others. He is an exemplary human who motivates me to be my best and a daily reminder of why I love to teach!” Congratulations to Joe Reyes for representing Wakulla High and good luck in your senior year!
