Hello from Sopchoppy! I got to catch y’all up on the Sopchoppy News… Hurricane Debby didn’t do much. Thank God. We have had worse thunderstorms than that. I did loose power but not for long.
I recently had to DJ a party on the coast and this property was amazing! Beautiful canal and bay. I told the owner I would record his music if he put me on the fish. I just want to fish from his backyard paradise. We are blessed to live in an amazing county. Full of rivers, the gulf, springs and so much wildlife. The party was really fun. These are the type of events I love! I had Low Tide Bar Friday. It was a blast. Some girls in a dance team from out of town came. They absolutely had a great time! High energy and made the party fun.
School started back for the kids. Expect traffic to increase. Watch out for the kids and busses. Stop and don’t pass busses while they are picking up children.
I recently attended a celebration in remembrance of my Aunt Lottie. She lived to 105. Her sister was my grandmother, Emma. She and Mary and Lottie were true Sopchoppy. Wonderful ladies. They taught me a lot growing up and I miss them dearly. It was good to see that side of the family.
I just got back from 10 days in Las Vegas! The whole trip feels like a dream. I’m good with words but this is hard to explain. Ten days of Amazing, mind blowing, awesome, unbelievable experiences… I appreciate my brother who was my tour guide. He showed me so much! I saw more than 25 casinos and so many awesome places. The top of the stratosphere was an amazing view. The technology of the sphere and the huge TV screen at Fremont Street. I’ve never seen or experienced anything like it. Red Rock, Hoover dam, Mount Charleston, Area 51 and so much more. We did so much! Mom had fun too, she couldn’t keep up with everything but she enjoyed everything she did.
I learned about roulette, bets, slots and how to lose money. I made some lifetime memories in an unreal city….
So many artists performing, so much money in that city. So many places to see. Futuristic technology, robots, screens, lights… It’s like going all over the world in one spot: New York, Caesars Palace, Egypt, Italy, just everything in one city.
I highly recommend a visit if you have not been….It feels like a dream.
I’m back in Sopchoppy! Home Sweet Home!
