This report is for activity Sept. 6-12:
FRIDAY, SEPT. 6
- Deputy Ernesto Trujillo met with an employee of FSU Credit Union in reference to a fraud report. A credit union employee stated a suspect had made several attempts to cash several fraudulent checks. A possible suspect has been identified and this case and this case has been sent to detectives for further investigation.
- Deputies responded to Dux’s Lounge in reference to a fight. Upon arrival deputies spoke with staff at the bar and after an extensive investigation arrested Jermanine Robinson Jr. for battery. Robinson and four of his friends were trespassed from Dux at the request of the management.
SATURDAY, SEPT. 7
- Sgt. Anthony Paul conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle after confirming the registered owner, Elias Santiago, did not have a valid license. Santiago was subsequently arrested for driving while license suspended or revoked (DWLSR0 and Tag Attached Not Assigned to vehicle.
SUNDAY, SEPT. 8
- Deputy Payden Surrette conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with no tag displayed. The driver, Daniel Gilley, was determined to be DWLSR and was deemed a habitual traffic offender. Gilley was arrested and transported to the jail without incident.
- Deputy Ernesto Trujillo conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle being operated by Aaron Swain Jr., after a registration check revealed Swain did not possess a valid driver license. Swain was placed under arrest and transported to the jail without incident.
- Deputies responded to Walmart in reference to a retail theft. Upon arrival, deputies made contact the store’s asset protection officer, who said an unknown white female exited the last point of sale and the store with approximately $120 worth of merchandise without paying. This case has been sent to detectives for further investigation.
- Deputies responded to 2000 Crawfordville Hwy. in reference a business alarm. Upon arrival deputies determined the business was secure. The keyholder arrived and the building was cleared by deputies. Once the keyholder inspected the business he believed items had been taken. A review of the video surveillance system revealed the business had indeed been burglarized. This case has been sent to detectives for further investigation.
WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 11
- Deputy Ernesto Trujillo responded to a home on Brave Road and made contact with Robert Mackin, who stated last month he was traveling to Tallahassee and broke down. Mackin stated he left his white Jeep Wrangler on the roadside, and had a friend come to retrieve his vehicle on Aug. 14, but it was gone. The vehicle was entered as stolen and a BOLO sent. This case has been sent to detectives for further investigation.
THURSDAY, SEPT. 12
- Deputy Ernesto Trujillo responded to Joe Mack Smith Road in refence to a structure fire. Upon arrival Wakulla County Fire Rescue had extinguished the fire and determined the fire was possibly set intentionally. The state Fire Marshall was contacted to investigate. This case has been sent to detectives for further investigation.
