A beautiful week in Sopchoppy. The grass is cut. The season is changing. The temperature is dropping a little.
The river got really high but is moving out fast. The city park dock was under water. I hope everyone is OK after the hurricane. I didn’t see much damage. We were really blessed. Please continue to pray for everyone affected by the storm.
Battle14 will be having Battleball Friday, Oct. 18 from 7 to 11 p.m. at the Wakulla rec park. “Triples for Taylor” is the name of the event. Sign up to play ball for a good cause. This event will help the people in Perry affected by the storm. I will be playing Christian music at this event.
I appreciate Battle14 for always stepping up for my community! They go above and beyond to help so many people. They also spread the love of Jesus to so many. Thank you brother Donny for all you do. If you are looking for a good nonprofit to donate to, this is it. I personally see them doing God’s work in our Community.
I will also be DJing Low Tide bar under Trident on Friday, Oct. 11 beginning at 8pm.
I’m ready for the river to go down so I can take my boys bream fishing. I’m ready to catch some fish. Speaking of fish and water. My boat floated off the bank and to the other side of the pond after the hurricane. I had to catch it with a reel and rod. When I got it to the bank I noticed it was full of water. I guess the pine straw blocked the drain plug enough it didn’t sink. I was lucky.
However it had so much water in the boat I had to tie a rope to my lawn mower to get the boat on the hill. I should have videoed this process of fishing my boat to the hill and then pulling it out with a lawn mower. It would have been very entertaining.
But hey I saved my little jon boat. Y’all have a blessed week! Love from Sopchoppy!
