FRIDAY, SEPT. 27

  • Deputy Hinson responded to Covington Circle in reference to a stolen electric bicycle. The complainant advised she parked her black Rudstar Q20 Electric Bike on her front porch before Hurricane Helene arrived, and when she woke up the next morning it was missing. The E-Bike was valued at approximately $1,083.
  • Deputy Williams responded to Robison Hill Drive in reference to a stolen generator. The complainant advised someone had stolen her red Premier 25 hp generator from her property after she evacuated. Complainant purchased the generator for approximately $500.

SATURDAY, SEPT. 28

  • Deputy Bennett responded to River Court regarding a stolen kayak. The complainant advised her mother told her the kayak was missing. The complainant last saw the kayak on Sept. 8 and paid approximately $2,000 for the kayak.

SUNDAY, SEPT. 29

  • A citizen located a wallet on Buck Miller Road. Deputy Irvin attempted to locate owner of property, but efforts were unsuccessful. The property was impounded for safekeeping until the owner could be located.

MONDAY, SEPT. 30

  • Deputy De Guzman responded to Betty Wood circle in reference to the theft of Generac generator. The complainant left the residence on Sept. 25 and returned on Sept. 27 discovering the generator missing. The generator is valued at approximately $3,000.
  • Deputy De Guzman responded to Mayfair Road in reference to a found iPhone. The iPhone was property packaged and placed into evidence for safekeeping should the owner be located.
  • Deputy A. Rivers, along with the Delta shift, apprehended Donte Byrd while he was actively stealing four televisions from Walmart. The complainant advised the suspect was fleeing the scene towards Linzy Mill Road. Lt. A. Paul observed the suspect exiting the wooded area along Linzy Mill and 319 and took him into custody.

TUESDAY, OCT. 1

  • Deputy Rivers conducted a traffic stop on Crawfordville Hwy, for no tag displayed. Rivers made contact with driver who said she noticed the tag was missing this morning and believes an unknown female took it off her car the night before in Tallahassee after an argument. Tag was entered into FCIC/NCIC as stolen.
  • Deputy Surrette arrested Shawn Daughtry at Whiddon Lake and Revadee Spears roads. Deputy Surrette was aware Daughtry had an active warrant from Wakulla County. Daughtry was arrested and found to be in possession of cocaine and meth. He was transported to the jail without incident.
  • Deputy Godwin responded to Seminole Lane in reference to the theft of a canoe. The complainant stated the canoe was last seen Sept. 30 around 7 p.m. It is unknown of who might have taken the canoe.

WEDNESDAY, OCT. 2

  • Deputy Dill responded to Casora Drive to meet with Seth Green, a City of Sopchoppy employee. Green advised one of the water meters at a vacant lot had been tampered with and damaged. A possible suspect has been identified. The total amount of damage is approximately $500.

THURSDAY, OCT. 3

  • Deputy Bennett responded to the Magnuson Hotel in reference a vehicle burglary. The complainant advised approximately $4,951 worth of items were stolen from their vehicle. The suspect was captured on the hotel surveillance cameras.
  • Deputy Williams responded to the Sheriff’s Office front lobby to meet with the complainant who advised his brother attempted to open multiple accounts in his name. This occurred in Gulf Breeze. The Gulf Breeze Police Department requested the incident documented by the WCSO to be forwarded to them.

FRIDAY, OCT. 4

  • Deputy Irvin responded to Burger King in reference to an auto theft. Upon arrival, contact was made with the complainant who advised someone removed her vehicle from the parking lot. The complainant advised she did not authorize anyone to take her vehicle. An Affidavit for Prosecution was signed and the vehicle was entered into FCIC/NCIC.
  • Deputy Cordoba responded to the lobby of the Sheriff’s Office reference a theft. Cordoba met with the complainant who advised on Oct. 3 he was shopping at the Dollar Tree in Crawfordville, and when he returned to his home in Leon County, he discovered his money clip was missing. The complainant indicated he immediately returned to the store and was able to review the surveillance video with the manager, and observed an unknown female suspect taking the clip and money and departing the store.
  • Deputy De Guzman responded Quail Court in reference to a theft. The complainant advised she purchased an iPhone, and when she opened the box, the phone was not inside.
  • Deputy Cordoba responded to Walmart in reference to a retail theft. Upon arrival Deputy Cordoba made contact with asset protection, who said an unidentified male was observed going past the last point of sale with merchandise he did not purchase.
