FRIDAY, OCT. 18

  • Deputy Gray and Deputy Rivers located Michael Highsmith walking with a female on East Ivan Road. Highsmith had an active arrest warrant for failure to appear. While attempting to take Highsmith into custody, the female, later identified as Leslie Strickland, interfered with his arrest and subsequently was arrested for obstruction without violence. Both Highsmith and Strickland were transported to the Wakulla County Detention Facility.
  • The Tallahassee Police Department recovered a vehicle reported stolen from Tillis Lane earlier in the day to Deputy Post. The occupants were identified and the investigation has been turned over to the Criminal Investigations Division.
  • Deputy Haddock arrested Trinity Davis on an arrest warrant for petit theft on Allen Street in Sopchoppy. Davis was transported to the Wakulla County Detention Facility.
  • Wayne Edward Morgan on an arrest warrant for probation violation on Jared Street in Crawfordville. Morgan was transported to the Wakulla County Detention Facility.
  • Deputy Haddock responded at a structure fire of a semi-trailer which had been converted into a home at 12 Leslie Circle in Crawfordville. Wakulla County Fire Rescue responded and extinguished the fire. The trailer was deemed a total loss with damages estimated at approximately $30,000.

SATURDAY, OCT. 19

  • Lt. Gibson took a burglary report on Ace High Stables Road. The complainant reported a burglary to his deceased father’s home. Taken was an air conditioning unit, an assortment of tools, and copper wiring.

SUNDAY, OCT. 20

  • Deputy Cordoba responded to Walmart and made contact with the Asset Protection Manager in reference to retail thefts which had occurred in the past week. The manager reported two separate thefts took place on two separate occasions at Walmart by the same individuals, both discovered to be juveniles. The total of both thefts was $51.54.
  • Deputy Surrette responded to Walmart and made contact with the Asset Protection Manager, who reported a retail theft which occurred during the morning hours of Oct. 20. The unknown suspect passed the last point of sale with $482 in merchandise.
  • Deputy Surrette responded to Walmart and made contact with the Asset Protection Manager, who reported a retail theft which occurred during the evening hours of Oct. 20. The unknown suspect passed the last point of sale with $22 in merchandise.
  • Deputy Surrette responded to a residence on Marie Circle in reference to a possible burglary. The complainant, arrived home to find his front door open. The residence was cleared, nothing was determined to be missing, and no forced entry observed.

MONDAY, OCT. 21

  • Deputy Irvin met with a complainant in the Sheriff’s Office lobby who reported his ex-wife was using his bank cards without his permission. Total amount is $244.87. Report was forward to the Criminal Investigations Division.
  • Deputy Smith and Deputy Marshall conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for unlawful speed on Coastal Highway in Crawfordville. During the stop, it was discovered that the passenger, Tommy Sanders Jr., had an active arrest warrant for battery. Additionally, the deputies arrested the driver, Michael Tidwell, for possession of meth, possession paraphernalia, possession of controlled substance without prescription, and possession of marijuana. Both Sanders and Tidwell were transported to the Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office Detention Facility.
  • Deputy Sullivan served an arrest warrant on Kelly Gordon for violation of probation [original charge of petit theft].

TUESDAY, OCT. 22

  • Deputy Irvin responded to the front lobby of the Sheriff’s Office in reference to a theft complaint. The complainant advised she paid $800 as a deposit to move into a residence. Prior to her moving in, there were other tenants that had already moved in. Complainant reported the people she paid the money to stopped all communications with her and never returned the deposit. The report was forwarded to the Criminal Investigations Division.
  • Deputy Smith responded to a residence on Sopchoppy Highway in reference to an armed person. Complainant reported a male pulled into her yard, and exited his vehicle brandishing a firearm. The vehicle left prior to law enforcement arrival heading southbound towards Franklin County. The report was forwarded to the Criminal Investigations Division.

WEDNESDAY, OCT. 23

  • Deputy Bennett met a Franklin County Sheriff Office Deputy near the county line to take custody of Clay Bailey, who had been arrested by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office on an active warrant out of Wakulla for failure to appear [original charge of possession of controlled substance additional charge possession of 20 grams of cannabis]. Bailey was transported to the Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office Detention Facility.

THURSDAY, OCT. 24

  • Deputy Cordoba arrested Paul Parmarter behind the Big Top Plaza in Panacea for a violation of probation warrant out of Leon County. Parmarter was transported to the Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office Detention Facility.
