Thursday, November 7

  • Wakulla War Eagles host the Suwannee Bulldogs at J.D. Jones Stadium at 7 p.m. It’s a makeup for a September game postponed by hurricane.
  • Wakulla Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting for the new food lockers at the health department will be held at 4:30 p.m.
  • The VFW Auxiliary Bingo Night will be held at 7 p.m. at 475 Arran Road in Crawfordville, every Thursday. There are concessions and raffles.
  • Rotary Club of Wakulla meets every Thursday at TSC Wakulla at 8:30 a.m.

  • Chamber’s Coffee & Commerce will be held at 8 a.m. at Gypsy Rose Boutique in Panacea.

Saturday, November 9

  • Veterans Day Ceremony will be held at Wakulla Sands Golf Club at 9 a.m. After the ceremony, Wakulla High School will host the War Eagle Alumni Memorial Golf Tournament.
  • Shells & Tails will be held in Sopchoppy’s Depot Park from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.with mullet, crab, oysters, barbecue and more. Admission $1; kids 12 and younger and veterans free. Live music.
  • Friends of Wakulla Springs are holding a car show at the Lodge beginning at 10 a.m. Enter your car or apply to be a vendor at wakullasprings.org.
  • Alcoholics Anonymous meets at 6:30 p.m. every Saturday at 54 Ochlockonee St.

Monday, November 11

  • VETERANS DAY – Schools, banks and government offices will be closed.
  • Veterans Day free breakfast for veterans and their families will be held at the community center beginning at 7:30 a.m.
  • The Wakulla Respite Program will be available for anyone with memory impairment at no cost from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Lake Ellen Baptist Church every Monday.

  • Wakulla County Historical Society will present a program on the Hyde Park community at the public library at 6 p.m. Speaker will be local historican Thomas Mitchell.
  • Sopchoppy community dinner is held every week at the Towles House at 6:30 p.m.

Saturday, Nov. 16

  • Blue Crab Festival will be held in Woolley Park in Panacea beginning with a parade at 10 a.m. and then festivities in the park. It’s a makeup date from being postponed in September due to hurricane.

Thursday, Nov. 21

  • Chamber of Commerce’s 20th annual Business Excellence Awards will be held at Wakulla Springs Lodge beginning with a social hour at 5:30. Tickets are $45 each.
