THURSDAY, OCT. 24
- Deputy Munroe took a fraud report on Harvey Melton Road. Complainant reported her bank account had been compromised, reporting unauthorized transactions had been made dating back to June 3. The total amount taken was approximately $6,000. The case was forwarded to the Criminal Investigations Division.
- Deputy Haddock conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for excessive speed on Centerline Road in Crawfordville. The driver, Latricia Holley, was taken into custody for tag attached not assigned, and the passenger, Travis Rigdon, was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Both were transported to the Wakulla County Jail.
- Deputy Munroe met with a citizen on Mill Creek Road who reported sending a check to the IRS in the amount of approximately $20,000, and was later notified an unknown subject attempted to forge the check. The case was forwarded to the Criminal Investigations Division.
FRIDAY, OCT. 25
- Lt. Spence took a walk-in report at the Sheriff’s Office lobby from a complainant who advised she has observed footprints on her porch on multiple occasions on Burt Pine Loop and believes a person known to her may be on her property during the early morning hours. No signs of damages or forced entry to her property were noted.
SATURDAY, OCT. 26
- Deputy Sullivan conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Mo-Hill Lane in Crawfordville. Further investigation revealed the driver Andre Leron Cowart was operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. Cowart was placed under arrest and transported to the Wakulla County Jail.
- Deputy Irvin responded to a residence on Greenlea Circle and spoke with a citizen reporting locating roofing nails in their driveway. Several other neighbors reported finding similar nails in their driveways. The neighbors believe another disgruntled neighbor and fellow member of the HOA is responsible for the nails. The neighbors are currently feuding over HOA funds.
SUNDAY, OCT. 27
- Lt. Alexander served an arrest warrant at 15 Oak Street on Clinton Savage for violation of probation (original charge of Refusal to Submit DUI test and driving while license suspended or revoked).
MONDAY, OCT. 28
- Deputy Sullivan recovered a stolen firearm at a residence on Bridle Gate Court while investigating a separate complaint. Firearm was reported stolen out of Polk County. The case was forwarded to the Criminal Investigations Division.
- Deputy Gray responded to a structure fire at 4177 Spring Creek Highway along with Wakulla County Fire Rescue. Deputy Gray learned a small fire had been started to keep the bugs away, but the grass caught fire and destroyed approximately 200 crab traps. The crab traps were valued at $10,000.
TUESDAY, OCT. 29
- Deputy Cordoba conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle, which was being operated by David Winifred Taff, for faulty equipment. During the stop, it was determined Taff did not have a valid driver’s license, and was in possession of meth and marijuana. Taff was placed under arrest and transported to the Wakulla County Jail.
- Deputy De Guzman along with other Deputies responded to the area of Jason Street in reference to Tallahassee Police Department being in pursuit of a U-Haul which had struck an unmarked TPD vehicle. The driver, later identified as Rachel Mills, exited the vehicle and fled on foot in a southerly direction. Leon County’s Air One and TPD K-9 tracked the suspect to a location on Ranee Street. TPD placed Mills under arrest. During this investigation Deputy Surrette also located Lisa Wells who had two active arrest warrants out of Wakulla County for failure to appear (original charges of sale of controlled substance use of two-way communication device to facilitate felony). Lisa Wells was transported to the Wakulla County Jail, and Rachel Mills was transported by TPD Officers.
- Deputy Post investigated the theft of a battery from a generator on Pullback Road. The investigation was forwarded to the Criminal Investigations Division.
- Deputy Gray recovered a boat trailer tag which had previously been reported as lost or stolen on Kickapoo Street.
- Deputy Munroe arrested Leslie Strickland for trespass after warning at a residence on Jer-Be-Lou Circle. Strickland was arrested and transported to Wakulla County Jail.
- Deputy Cordoba investigated a fraud walk-in complaint at the Sheriff’s Office lobby. The complainant reported writing a check to a homeowner, and when it cleared it had someone else’s name on it. The investigation was forwarded to the Criminal Investigation Division.
WEDNESDAY, OCT. 24
- Deputy Cordoba arrested Fabian Miller on Maido Street on an active arrest warrant for weapon offense-improper exhibition of firearm or dangerous weapon. Miller was transported to the Wakulla County Jail.
