R.I.P. to fisherman Jonas Porter
I was sitting at my desk on Monday afternoon when a Death Notice popped into my email from the Family Funeral Home for Jonas Porter. I first met Jonas back in the 1990s when local net protests would draw hundreds of fishermen. Now most of the fishermen are off the water, but Jonas was still protesting as of March 2023 at the state Capitol where I snapped this photo.
Rest in peace, Jonas.
