Hello from Sopchoppy! Went fishing at St. Marks lighthouse and caught a big red! I have not caught one that big in a while. It was a fight. I really enjoyed the trip. My boys had a lot of fun too.
The weather finally got a little cool Thursday or so. It has been raining lately. We probably needed some rain.
Thanksgiving is around the corner. Everyone is ready to eat. It is always good to be around family and enjoy great food and company.
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. I’m thankful for another year. I’m thankful for my family. I’m thankful for all my blessings. I’m thankful for Sopchoppy!
What are you thankful for? Take time to thank God for all his blessings we receive.
The bear got into my trash one day recently. Then after I cooked that redfish he showed up again. My trash can was locked and he threw it down. I walked outside with my flashlight and he ran off. I don’t think he can break into that can. He sure will try though. He gets mad when he can’t open it. He bites it and body slams it. He came early that night. I think the fish grease attracted him.
Friday, December 13th I will be DJ’ing Low Tide Bar under Trident restaurant in Panacea 8-12.
Christmas in Sopchoppy is coming soon! December 14th! Come out and get a unique gift. Support local vendors. Support local artists! Also get a gift that is special. A gift that can’t be purchased in a store. A great way to find something for people that have two of everything….
It appears they are working on the historic school. I’m glad to see that. Y’all know how much I love the historic school and property. We must preserve this historic land.
I notice Fin following walkers and bike riders. Fin is a local dog that the locals know. He loves to walk with his neighbors and anyone. He will go home. Sopchoppy is his territory. Everyone loves Fin. Some establishments give him treats. He hangs with several people. He will go home, he just likes to hang out.
Mufasa does too. I haven’t seen him in a while. But my kids love them both and enjoy their company. Many of us do in Sopchoppy. We love our community!
