FRIDAY, NOV. 15
- Deputy Post responded to a residence on Trumpet Lane in reference to a criminal mischief. The complainant reported her son’s rear window of his vehicle had been smashed by an unknown individual while it was parked at their residence.
- Deputy Post responded to the Circle K located at 3180 Coastal Highway in reference to a retail theft. Deputy Post spoke with the store manager who advised that three white males who appeared to be juveniles, stole two cases of Twisted Teas from the store without paying. Investigation continuing.
- Deputy Post took a theft report at a residence on Tiger Hammock Road. The complainant reported the theft of a package. SATURDAY, NOV. 16
- Deputy Surrette responded to Walmart and made contact with the Asset Protection Manager, who stated he observed two unknown white females on surveillance video passing the last point of sale with unpaid grocery items, totaling $119. Case has been forwarded to the Criminal Investigations Division.
- Deputy Rivers responded to a residence on Apache Road and made contact with a citizen who reported ordering an iPhone from Best Buy and believes someone stole it from his porch. Investigation continuing.
- Deputy Surrette responded to Walmart and made contact with the Asset Protection Manager who stated he observed a white female on surveillance video passing the last point of sale with unpaid items, totaling $85. A suspect has been identified in this case. Investigation continuing.
- Deputy Munroe responded to a residence on Scenic Stream Circle in reference to a VIN verification. During the investigation the complainant reported his 1966 Plymouth Barracuda was towed from his home by a subject who had promised to repair the car. Complainant further reported he has been unable to get suspect to return his car, and no work has been completed.
SUNDAY, NOV. 17
- Deputy De Guzman responded to Arbor View Drive and made contact with a resident who believed her dog had been stolen from her backyard. Prior to the end of shift, the resident called back stating her dog had returned.
- Deputy Sullivan responded to Rose Street and made contact with a resident who stated while burning debris inside a burn ring, the porch attached to the structure caught fire. The structure had burned previously and was unoccupied. Wakulla Fire Rescue extinguished the fire and the Fire Marshall Responded.
- Deputy Rivers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle being operated by Chelsea Taylor Wallace due to an expired tag on Bob Miller Road. It was determined Wallace was driving while license suspended/revoked with knowledge. Deputy Rivers arrested Chelsea Wallace and transported her to the Wakulla County Detention Facility.
MONDAY, NOV. 18
- Deputy Smith responded to Ashley Hall Road in reference to a lost vehicle tag. Complainant reported the tag to her vehicle was lost in Leon County sometime on Sunday, Nov. 17. Complainant advised the vehicle recently had a flat tire on the vehicle, causing the bumper of the vehicle to come off. It is unknown where the tag is at this time.
TUESDAY, NOV. 19
- Deputy Dill responded to Old Magnolia Road in reference to a stolen vehicle. Complainant advised he and another male struck up a deal where the male would work on his truck and deck in exchange for the ownership of the truck. Complainant advised the male has refused to do the work but still kept the truck.
- Deputy Marshall responded to a suspicious person complaint on Hickorywood Drive. Upon arrival he met with a citizen who reported James Lamar Horne in the area breaking stuff with a bat. Horne had active arrest warrant for a probation violation out of our county. Horne was located, placed under arrest, and transported to the Wakulla County Detention Facility.
- Deputy Kittrell conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Coastal Highway and Rehwinkel Road in reference to faulty equipment. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Amanda Rena Kelly, and did not possess a valid driver’s license. Kelly was placed under arrest for driving while license suspended/revoked, and was transported to the Wakulla County Detention Facility.
WEDNESDAY, NOV. 20
- Sgt. Will conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to yield due to the vehicle coming onto Crawfordville Highway from Winn-Dixie and almost causing an accident. A traffic stop was initiated with the driver, Summer Michelle Dale, who had a suspended license with five prior convictions. Dale was subsequently arrested and transported to the Wakulla County Detention Facility.
- Sgt. Grove conducted a traffic stop on Crawfordville Highway near Walmart for excessive speed. The driver Juan Herrera Mejia did not have a valid license, nor has he ever been issued one. Mejia was taken into custody and transported to the Wakulla County Detention Facility.
- Deputy Godwin conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for excessive speed on Coastal Highway and Tully Avenue. The driver, Wayner Choc Lopez, did not have a valid license, nor has he ever been issued one. Lopez was taken into custody and transported to the Wakulla County Detention Facility.
- Deputy Post responded to a reported fraud on Steve Moore Road. A citizen reported fraudulent activity on his bank account, with an approximate loss of $400. Case was forwarded to the Criminal Investigations Division.
- Deputies arrested Roland Rodriquez by authority of a federal arrest warrant for Violation of Probation (original charge of Smuggling Aliens) after a citizen informed them Rodriquez was a wanted fugitive from Miami with a history of meeting with minors unlawfully. The citizen advised Rodriquez was staying at a local hotel in Crawfordville, and provided his vehicle description. Deputies confirmed there was an outstanding arrest warrant for Roland Rodriquez for Violation of Federal Probation. Deputies conducted surveillance of the hotel and observed Rodriquez walking from the hotel toward the road. Deputies took Rodriquez into custody and transported him to the Wakulla County Detention Facility. Rodriquez was later turned over to the United States Marshal’s Service for subsequent transport to federal court.
THURSDAY, NOV. 21
- Deputy Post responded to Revadee Spears Road on a theft report. Complainant reported the theft of her washing machine by a known suspect. The washing machine was valued at approximately $1,500. Case has been forwarded to the Criminal Investigations Division.
- Lt. Gibson responded to a residence on Aaron Strickland Road in reference to a fraud. Complainant reported being scammed out of $7,000. Complainant was told she had a warrant for her arrest for missing a federal jury summons, and made three different deposits into an account as instructed, before realizing she had been scammed. Case has been forwarded to the Criminal Investigations Division.
