It is another new year, and we are so thankful. We are truly blessed.

We sing about count your blessing, see what God has done. Most people say, see what I have done. We give the credit for the Lord. He blessed us to have some good weather. It was cold and many people lost their flowering plant, some even had some water line freeze – but I didn’t hear of any of neighbors losing their life. We are thankful for that.

We were happy to have some family from out of town visiting for the holidays and birthday celebration. Elder Andrew Morris visited his daughter E. Morris in Monticello.

Mother Dore Rosier had Christmas with her family in Tallahassee. She is thankful along with her family for her granddaughter Amanda Leigh Valter to earn her juris doctor degree from Florida State University Law School. She graduated Dec. 9 at the Tallahassee–Leon County Civic Center. Amanda is the daughter of Rebecca Rosier of Tallahassee, and Alan and Melissa Rosier.

We wish a happy birthday to Mother Willie Mae Stevens on Dec. 7, Colleen Mitchell on Dec. 11, Mother Vera Green on Dec. 11, and Glenda Simmons on Dec. 16.

Visting our community over the week was Robert Jones and family from South Florida. They were celebrating birthdays with family and friends George Franklin Sr. and Mother Willie M. Stevens.

Our prayers and concern goes out to all the sick and shut-in, those in hospitals, nursing homes, prison, the homeless – those in need of prayer everywhere. Let us all pray for each other.
