Highway Natives to perform Feb. 24
Editor, The Sun:
The Wakulla Community Theater (WCT) would like to invite everyone to come out on Friday, Feb. 24, and enjoy the sounds of Nashville’s own Highway Natives at the Historic Old Sopchoppy Auditorium, located at 164 Yellow Jacket Avenue in Sopchoppy.
The event is a fundraiser for WCT, an organization founded in 1991 with the purpose of providing musical and theatrical performances to the residents of Wakulla County and the surrounding area. Under the hard work and direction of Mina Sutton and Nancy Commander, the WCT is gearing up again with plans to bring more quality musical and acting performances to Wakulla County! In an effort to give back, Highway Natives will donate all ticket proceeds from the show to the theater group.
Highway Natives are a 5-piece band out of Nashville. They have played in Wakulla and Leon counties before as the band has local ties. Jordan Miller – guitarist, vocalist, and one of the founding members – is a Wakulla County native. The band has a Southern rock sound and mainly performs original music with some covers thrown in.
Food trucks will be on the premises starting at 5pm, and the doors will open for the event at 6pm. Rockulla and Brandon Autrey will kick things off at 6:30pm, with Highway Natives beginning at 8pm.
Advance tickets ($15) can be purchased at McIver Flooring or The Waulla Sun, both located in Crawfordville, or online at highwaynatives.com. Tickets purchased the day of the show will be $20.
Thanks in advance for coming out and supporting Wakulla Community Theater!
