Riversprings’ Odyssey of the Mind team advances

The Riversprings Middle School Odyssey of the Mind team has been busy this semester competing in Regionals and State Competitions. Odyssey of the Mind allows students to use their natural creativity to solve problems and find original solutions. Odyssey of the Mind centers around teamwork, budgeting, time management, public speaking, and collaboration. The Riversprings Middle School Odyssey of the Mind team participated in the Regional Competition at Bucklake Elementary School on February 17, 2024. The RMS Bears took two teams: “The Classics…Opening Night Antics” and “Deep Space Structure”. Both teams are Division II teams. The Opening Night Antics, comprised of Ella Zak, Laci Yarbrough, Amillia McCullough, Madilyn Waters, Annaleyse Roland, Delayna Stewart, and Jenny Carnevale, placed first in their division for this problem and will advance to State Competition in March. The Deep Space Structure team comprised of Cadence Dow, Noah Morey, Roedy Wells, Makena Glassner, Annabelle Armstrong, Harrison Rodgers placed first in their division for their problem. The captains of both teams Ella Zak and Cadence Dow are excited to lead their teams to the state competition on March 30.
