One lawsuit challenged the bid awarded for county’s new radio system for first responders

Wakulla County recently settled two pending lawsuits: one was filed by Williams Communication challenging the decision last year to award the bid to construct a new radio system to Motorola Solutions.
The Medart School of Music will be having their Spring recitals on April 27 at the Panacea First Baptist Church located at 38 Otter Lake Road. There will be performances at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Come enjoy a variety of music performed on a variety of instruments by these young musicians!
For the past 50 years, the Stephen C. Smith Memorial Regatta (www.smithregatta.com) has been held at Shell Point Beach for the benefit of the American Cancer Society in memory of Stephen Smith, a local sailor who died from a rare form of leukemia at the age of 29.
