FRIday, SEPT. 5
- A citizen reported her car keys and wallet had been stolen. The victim left the items in a cart at Walmart while she was speaking with an employee. The victim returned and found the items missing. Case forwarded to Criminal Investigations Division.
- A citizen reported her vehicle started experiencing engine trouble. She stated she believed someone had poured something in her gas tank. The victim took the vehicle to Peter Boulware Toyota and mechanics advised her gas lines were crystallized. She believes her vehicle was tampered with while parked at the boat ramp at St. Marks. Case forwarded to CID.
SAtuRday, SEPT. 6
- Deputy Shay Sullivan made contact with a citizen who stated someone vandalized his vehicle the previous night. The victim believes he has identified the possible suspect. Estimated Damage to be $1000 plus. Case forwarded to CID.
- Deputy Zachary Godwin responded to Hampton Way in reference to a citizen reporting her Infiniti car possibly being broken into. Investigation revealed nothing was stolen but someone threw an object and shattered her vehicle’s rear window. Case forwarded to CID
SUNday, SEPT. 7
- Deputy Dylan Buckhalt located an individual walking on U.S. Hwy. 319 and determined he had an active warrant. Deputy Buckhalt placed the subject under arrest and subsequently located meth and paraphernalia.
- A citizen flagged down Deputy Nicholas Gray and advised she located suspected marijuana near Trident. The marijuana was seized for destruction. Case Status: Closed
MONday, SEPT. 8
- Deputy Rosa Sammons responded to 940 Shadeville Road in reference to a theft report. Upon arrival, contact was made with the reporting person who advised there were multiple donated items missing from the outside storage area. The items included a wooden bench, wood flooring slats, and boxes of tile. The stolen items were valued at $510. The stolen property was last seen at noon on Sept. 7. There were no witnesses to this incident. Nothing further advised.
TUESday, SEPT. 9
- Deputy Jackson Kittrell responded to Dans Drive in reference to a criminal mischief complaint. Upon arrival, contact was made with the reporting person, who advised his black Nissan Pathfinder had been struck with a rock. He advised his neighbor may have been involved due to them having ongoing issues. Contact was made with the neighbor next door and, post-Miranda warning, he allegedly admitted to throwing a rock at the victim’s vehicle due to the victim making threatening statements about his family. Probable cause was developed to arrest the neighbor for criminal mischief. Photos of the damages were taken and he was transported to the Wakulla County Jail without further incident.
- A citizen reported his Honda Accord stolen. He advised his neighbor’s cousin took his vehicle and several bank cards without his permission. The subject had been allowed to use the vehicle previously to run down the street to his mother’s residence on Sept. 6. After returning the vehicle that day he asked to borrow the vehicle again around 10 p.m. that night. On Sept. 7, The victim awoke and his vehicle was not at his residence. After becoming concerned, he searched his normal location he kept his wallet and discovered several bank cards as well as his driver license and Social Security card missing from the wallet. He checked his bank account and discovered his $300 was gone from the account and the account was in the negative for a sum of -$1,100. The last transaction made was $20 at a WaWa gas station in Ocala on Sept. 9.
WEDNESday, SEPT. 10
- Sgt. Heather Will responded to Old Magnolia Road reference criminal mischief. A citizen advised an individual drove through his residence gate last night to intentionally get onto the reporting person’s property. To replace the gate will cost approximately $399.99. Case forwarded to Patrol.
- Deputy Jeremiah Post responded to Isle of Paradise where a citizen advised his trailer was stolen this past weekend.
THURSday, SEPT. 11
- Lt. David Pienta responded to Oakland Drive and made contact with a citizen, who stated the lot next to him was being bush-hogged and pipe/fence posts were damaged on his property line. Lt. Pienta made contact with the individual who owned the adjacent lot and served a trespass warning at the reporting person’s request.
- Deputy Dylan Buckhalt conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a stop sign violation. During the traffic stop a small amount of suspected marijuana and paraphernalia were seized for destruction.
FRIday, SEPT. 12
- Deputy Ashton Williams responded to Magnolia Ridge in reference to a criminal mischief complaint. Upon arrival, contact was made with a citizen who advised he observed an individual arrive at the residence in the early morning hours. He stated he observed the subject kneeling behind a vehicle and he exited the residence to investigate what he was doing. The subject fled the scene before the homeowner could make contact with him. Upon further investigation, the homeowner located a screw placed under the rear driver side tire of the vehicle. Contact was made with the owner of the vehicle on scene and she advised she and her ex-husband have been having frequent issues and are scheduled in court in the near future for an unrelated incident. No damage was observed to thel vehicle. No video surveillance of the incident was available at this time. This incident is being documented for information purposes. Nothing further advised.
