FRIDAY, MARCH 14

  • Lt. Alexander conducted a traffic stop on Dellwood Road for passing on double yellow lines. The driver, Devin Lee Collins, was found to not have a valid driver’s license, and was placed under arrest for Driving While License Suspended or Revoked (DWLSR) and transported to the Wakulla County Detention Facility.
  • Deputy A. Williams served a warrant on Keyshawn Jahmar Christia Green after he turned himself in to the Sheriff’s Office on an active warrant out of our agency for Violation of Probation with the original charge being Battery. Green was booked into the Wakulla County Detention Facility.
  • Deputy Sammons and Sgt. Broxsie served three active warrants out of our agency on Melissa Jo Quincey for Violations of Probation. Quincey was booked into the Wakulla County Detention Facility.

SATURDAY, MARCH 15

  • Deputies Marshall, Parker, and Bennett responded to 33 Farrier Lane in reference to a shed on fire along with Wakulla County Fire Rescue. WCFR extinguished the fire. The owner was unsure how the fire started. The shed and items inside were a total loss valued at $23,000. A neighbor advised his Polaris was damaged due to the fire with a loss of $45,000.

SUNDAY, MARCH 16

  • Deputy Sammons responded to Riverside Drive in St. Marks, in reference to a lost property complaint. Upon arrival, contact was made with the complainant who advised he is currently in the midst of a road trip from Orlando to Louisiana. Earlier today he stopped in Jefferson County to charge his electric vehicle and left his wallet on the roof of his vehicle while charging and did not realize until he continued his journey. A short time later, complainant tracked his wallet to the above location via an air tag inside the wallet. Upon arrival, the wallet began changing locations once again towards Taylor County with a group traveling via motorcycles. Complainant was referred to Jefferson County to file a report for the missing wallet. The complainant was also advised to coordinate with Taylor County in an attempt to locate the missing wallet.
  • Deputy Sammons responded to a residence on Tall Pine Lane, in reference to a possible burglary. Upon arrival, contact was made with the complainant who oversees the property. The complainant usually visits the property once a month to maintain the grounds, and upon his arrival today, he noticed items on the property out of place. Upon further review of the property, complainant observed items missing from inside the residence including two broken televisions. Case forwarded to the Criminal Investigations Division.
  • Deputy Dill responded to a residence on Serafino Lane in reference to an attempted burglary. Upon arrival, he met with the property owner who advised the property is under construction and a neighbor called him earlier stating she saw someone on the property. The owner then noticed his rear window was cracked open with two hand prints on it. On-call crime scene was contacted and assisted. Case has been forwarded to the Criminal Investigations Division.
  • Lt. Spence observed a single vehicle crash in the area of Coastal Highway west of Spring Creek Highway. The vehicle appeared to have been traveling westbound and crossed the center line and made contact with the culvert on the south side of the roadway, slightly going airborne before coming to a rest. Contact was made with the driver, identified as Shaun Patrick True. True refused EMS and began picking items up from the ground that had been expelled from inside the vehicle. As Lt. Spence interacted with True, he observed a small baggie on the ground nearby that had been ejected from the vehicle. The baggie contained a white crystalline substance consistent with methamphetamine. The substance field tested presumptive positive for methamphetamine. Shaun True was subsequently placed under arrest and transported to the Wakulla County Detention Facility.

MONDAY, MARCH 17

  • Deputy Saba responded to a residence on Brown Boulevard in reference to a known person taking potted plants from a residence. Due to the suspect leaving the property and not residing within the county, this case was forwarded to the Criminal Investigations Division.
  • Deputy Saba responded to a residence on Pixie Circle in reference to a theft. Complainant advised he noticed his chainsaw missing around two weeks ago, and he had a suspect known to him that he believed had taken it. This case was forwarded to the Criminal Investigations Division.
  • Deputy Saba responded to a residence on Whispering Oaks Drive and spoke with the resident who reported an unknown person wrote a check for $3,589 on his account. The resident advised he did not write the check. This case was forwarded to the Criminal Investigations Division.

TUESDAY, MARCH 18

  • Deputy Post responded to a criminal mischief on Lonnie Raker Lane. The resident advised she arrived home and discovered her shed door was open. There appeared to be pry marks on the door, but nothing was missing. This case was forwarded to the Criminal Investigations Division.
  • Lt. Paul conducted a traffic stop at Wakulla Station for an expired tag. Upon contact with the driver, it was determined the driver, Andrew Richard Michalak, did not possess a valid license. Michalak was placed into custody for DWLSR and was transported to the Wakulla County Detention Facility.
  • Deputy Irvin responded to the lobby in reference to a citizen reporting check fraud. The citizen mailed a check for $10,966 to an insulation company, and advised his bank contacted him stated an unknown male changed the name on the check and deposited it. This case was forwarded to the Criminal Investigations Division.

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 19

  • Deputy Williams responded to Walmart in reference to a theft. An unknown individual took approximately $163 worth of merchandise. This case was forwarded to the Criminal Investigations Division.

THURSDAY, MARCH 20

  • Deputy Kittrell conducted a traffic stop on a white Toyota SUV in the area of Dr. MLK Memorial Road and Mallard Pond Circle for driving with no lights. Contact was made with the driver, who was identified as Bruce Allen Gonseth Jr. by his Florida Identification card. A driver’s license check returned a prior suspension for Gonseth’s license on Nov. 19, 2024. Gonseth was subsequently placed under arrest for DWLSR and was transported to the Wakulla County Detention Facility.
  • Deputy Sammons responded to Lakeside Cove in reference to a fraud complaint. Contact was made with the complainant and his daughter. Complainant reported his daughter received an automated message on March 19 in reference to an existing balance on her Xfinity account. The message indicated she qualified for a half off promotional deal on a year-long subscription; however, she had to pay for the subscription using gift cards. Complainant’s daughter purchased $510 worth of gift cards and contacted the call back number. Earlier today, she received an additional message in reference to an outstanding balance still due for his account. This case was forwarded to the Criminal Investigations Division.
  • Deputy Smith responded to a residence on Golden Loop in reference to a theft complaint. The resident reported he had three packages delivered to his residence on March 17 while he was out of town, and received notification the packages arrived, but did not see the packages on the property upon his return home. The resident reviewed his home surveillance video and observed a white female arrive at his property shortly after his packages were delivered. The suspect attempted to hide her identity with her hair as she removed the packages from the property. The suspect is then seen fleeing the area in a black SUV. This case was forwarded to the Criminal Investigations Division.
  • Deputy Smith conducted a traffic stop on a white SUV in the area of Merideth Road and Spring Creek Highway. Contact was made with the driver, who was identified as Jason Ray Miller by his Florida Identification card. A driver’s license check returned a prior suspension for Jason Miller’s license back in 2018 and confirmed his license was currently still suspended. Jason Miller was subsequently placed under arrest for DWLSR and was transported to the Wakulla County Detention Facility.

FRIDAY, MARCH 21

  • Deputy Irvin conducted a traffic stop on Buck Miller Road. The driver Jose Luis Perez Marin was found to not have a valid license. Jose Marin was subsequently placed under arrest for Operating a Motor Vehicle without a Valid License and was transported to the Wakulla County Detention Facility.
  • Deputy Trujillo conducted a traffic stop on Bloxham Cutoff Road. The driver, Luis Angel Gonzalez Luna, was found to not have a valid license. Luna was subsequently placed under arrest for Operating a Motor Vehicle without a Valid License and was transported to the Wakulla County Detention Facility.
