Sopchoppy was on national TV. CBS morning show came and went worm grunting with the Revell family. They also came to the Worm Gruntin’ Festival. They showed me for two to three seconds, but they did play my voice introducing Mr. Gary.
They also showed my logo. It was awesome! I thought it was going to be a longer episode but it was still really good. Worm Gruntin’ is really an interesting topic to the world. I am viral on three platforms gruntin’ worms. Millions of views on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. You should follow me.
The Fourth of July is around the corner and it is always a big day for Sopchoppy. I think it has rained every year since I was born but always fun. The parade, good food, good music and good times.
Oh, and you cannot forget the fireworks. Come on down to Sopchoppy and enjoy the Fourth of July.
Speaking of rain, it has been raining a lot lately. We needed it though. It’s definitely making the grass grow faster.
The Yella flys are better but here comes the skeeters… The Yella flys are not gone yet….. Also the temperature is heating up. It’s time for River, beach, sand bars and pools, baby….
I went to the Sopchoppy School workshop. They are getting help from a planning committee. They asked the community what they wanted to see happen with the property. I was impressed with that. We are a community and we care deeply for our history. Most of us anyway. The real Sopchoppy does, that’s for sure. Only a few of us left but we will stand up for our history. I think this is a step in the right direction. The city will be having another meeting/workshop about renting space at the school on June 23rd like the auditorium and more. I’m super interested in this. I plan on attending that meeting also.
I did WTXL ABC 27 news recently. They did a story on the future of the Sopchoppy Historic School. I like to let my people know what is going on with our community.
