Hello from Sopchoppy! One thing about Sopchoppy is we are known for easy living, positive attitude and good times!
That’s how we roll here, bud. If you are from here then you already know. We are from the old school. Some of us been here for many generations. Some of us are more connected than you may know. We are all about respect. Sopchoppy is small. The internet is big. I try to keep a good attitude and show love everywhere I go. Sopchoppy raised me this way.
Well anyway… fish are biting! I went up the creek and caught a mess of fish. I took my boys and we caught bass and bream. They had a great time. I love the outdoors. I love the woods and river this time of year. If you get a chance go to the water and enjoy the beautiful scenery. It’s good for the soul.
I have been working in my music studio lately with some amazing artists. Solo Cupp and dazythegirl keep the hits coming. Check out “Devils Work” by dazythegirl. This is a song about a breakup and it is absolutely amazing. You can feel the pain in the vocals. Solo Cupp did an amazing job on engineering this song. Also dazythegirl played the piano and sang her heart out on this one. The song is beautiful and heartfelt. I’m also also featured on the song. I’m proud that this came out of my studio in Sopchoppy! I’m also excited about what is next.
You know a lot of great music has been recorded in Sopchoppy from all kinds of great musicians. Tom T Hall the legendary country singer recorded in Sopchoppy. Art has always been around Sopchoppy. I don’t know what it is… Is it the dark water? Is it the woods? Is it that we are surrounded by water? I mean we got the Sopchoppy River, Ochlockonee River, the Gulf, the bay, creeks, ponds, lakes… Is it the low lying area? Is it the great soil? Could it be the amazing people? Or could it be the history? From the native Americans, the railroad, the settlers? I think it could be a little of everything.
One thing is for sure is it is an amazing place. The air, the woods and everything about it is special. Let’s keep it that way! Keep it clean, keep a good attitude and keep the Sopchoppy traditions alive. Regardless of your views, love your neighbors. Protect this beautiful land. Spread love! That is the Sopchoppy way….
