FRIday, FEB. 6
- A known suspect was observed on video taking merchandise without purchase at Walmart. She passed all point of sale with approximately $180 worth of unpaid merchandise.
SATURday, FEB. 7
- Deputy Ian Kilbourn and Deputy Zachary Godwin responded in reference to a citizen reporting her property was thrown out into the yard and that the items were damaged. Upon deputies’ arrival, there were multiple clothing items and household items soaked and damaged. A suspect was located shortly after and probable cause was established for an arrest.
- Deputy Austin Rivers responded in reference to a citizen reporting that her vehicle had been broken into. She advised after returning home last night she left her purse in the vehicle which contained her Glock 42, $150 in cash and other miscellaneous Items. When she entered her vehicle this morning, she noticed the purse containing these items were missing.
- Deputy Ian Kilbourn and Deputy Zachary Godwin responded in reference to Tallahassee Police Department sending an attempt to locate for someone who was reporting missing out of TPD. Contact was made with the person at the residence. Contact was then made with TPD who removed him out of NCIC/FCIC as being missing.
SUNday, FEB. 8
- Deputy Austin Rivers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle, during the stop a small amount of suspected marijuana was seized for destruction.
- Deputy Austin Rivers responded to Richardson Road and made contact with a citizen, who stated someone entered his residence by forcing entry inside the home. He stated a television and a piece of driftwood was stolen from within the residence. Crime Scene responded and processed the scene. A possible suspect has been identified.
- Deputy Shay Sullivan responded to Walmart reference a retail theft where asset protection had located the subject stealing and had her in the store office. She was placed under arrest and issued a Notice to Appear due to medical issues. She was issued a trespass warning to not to return to Walmart.
- Deputy Shay Sullivan responded to Fontaine Circle in reference to a delayed theft. The reporting person advised someone had stolen approximately $47 worth of items from his property. He provided images of who the suspects are.
MONDay, FEB. 9
- Deputy Karius Mcmillan responded to Graham Trail in reference to a fraud complaint. Contact was made with the reporting person, who advised he discovered $700 missing from his Direct Express Card account between Feb. 3rd and 4th. He stated he believes someone known to him gained access to his card information and began accessing his funds. He stated the subject is a former roommate and he never authorized her to remove money from his account.
- Deputy Dylan Buckhalt responded to Terrace Lane in reference to a theft complaint. Contact was made with the reporting person, who advised he recently had a package delivered to his residence. He advised he received the alert indicating the package was received. Once he made it to his mailbox, he discovered the delivered package was open and the item he ordered was no longer inside the box. There were no witnesses to this incident.
- Deputy Lexi Kreitlow responded to Extract Shack in reference to a theft complaint. Contact was made with the complainant who advised an unknown female stole firewood from the business and fled the scene in a maroon SUV. The stolen fire wood’s value was $20. He wishes to pursue charges if the suspect is located.
- Deputy Karius McMillan and Deputy Dylan Buckhalt responded to Sister’s Floral in reference to a theft complaint. Contact was made with the reporting person who advised an unknown suspect removed a Valentine’s Day sign from the business sometime on Feb. 8. The sign’s value is $60. There were no witnesses to the incident.
TUESday, FEB. 10
- Deputy Dustin Saba conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle due to the vehicle impeding the flow of traffic. During the traffic stop, it was discovered the driver had an active warrant out of Alabama. A hit was sent to the corresponding agency which confirmed and advised they would extradite. The driver was placed under arrest and his vehicle was towed using rotation tow company. He was then transported to the county jail without further incident.
- A citizen reported a fraud which resulted in her being scammed out of $250. She advised she Googled the phone number to Paramount Plus due to wanting to dispute a charge on her account. When she called the number, an unknown male answered stating he was an employee for Paramount. During the call, the subject requested the payment information she normally used and advised her he would refund the money. She provided the information request and ended the call. The next day, she began receiving alerts on her phone advising her of five separate charges for $50 each. It was at this time she realized she was scammed. She provided a sworn statement and a request for prosecution.
WEDNESday, FEB. 11
- Sgt. Heather Will conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for tag attached not assigned. The driver advised he took the tag from his other vehicle due to him not having time to get the current one registered. He also had only a Florida ID card with previous suspensions. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Wakulla County Jail.
THURSday, FEB. 12
- Deputy Austin Rivers responded to Publix in reference to someone slashing the victims’ tires with a knife. The victim stated the suspect was upset over a parking spot. After the argument, the victim entered the store and upon returning, he noticed the damage to his tires. A suspect was later identified in this case.
- A citizen reported a delayed vehicle burglary. He reported several weeks ago his vehicle had been burglarized. He stated his wallet containing miscellaneous cards, and a small amount of cash was the only thing taken.
FRIday, FEB. 13
- A citizen called in stating that her house was on fire. Complainant believed that the fire started with the window unit. Fire-Rescue and law enforcement were dispatched. Duke Energy was contacted.
- A citizen called in to report that an unknown subject was using the complainant’s identity to get loans from different financial institutions.
