FRIday, auG. 7
- Deputy Shawn Joens responded to the Annex in reference to a citizen reporting fraud to his bank account. He was alerted by his bank in reference to possible suspicious activity on his account. After further investigation, he was found to be in the negative by $8,000 with several $500 withdrawals being noticed. Case forwarded to Criminal Investigation Division.

SATURday, auG. 8
- Sgt. Ernesto Trujillo responded to Pueblo Trail in reference to a vehicle burglary. Contact was made with the reporting person who stated that, during the night, two unknown individuals had come on to her property. The two individuals went into her vehicle and began going through it. She advised after a few moments the two individuals exited her vehicle and left the property. She advised she believed the subjects had taken sunglasses from her vehicle. She advised she only wished to inform us of the incident; however, a report was taken for information purposes.
- Deputy Ian Kilbourn responded to Graham Trail in reference to a theft. Contact was made with the reporting person who stated sometime during the night, bicycles and a firearm were stolen from her property. She advised there were three bikes on her property but when she woke up this morning, two of the bicycles were gone. She also advised a firearm was missing from her vehicle. She was unable to provide any suspects for this incident. She was also unable to provide a serial number for the firearm. Case forwarded to CID
- Deputies Meredith Sullivan, Shawn Joens and Tillman Moen responded to Woodville Highway in reference to Wakulla County Fire and Rescue requesting law enforcement assistance due to a subject, identified as Clayton Weaver, becoming violent. Fire personnel stated Weaver balled up his fists and began approaching them making statements of causing harm. Post investigation, Weaver was placed under arrest.
SUNday, auG. 9
- Deputy Tillman Moen and Deputy Zachary Godwin responded to Panther Road in reference to a citizen reporting his VEVOR Floatation Device stolen from the Mysterious Waters dock. He stated he will be attempting to make contact with neighbors in the area to see if they have video footage of the incident and will call the Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office if more information is gathered.
MONday, auG. 10
- A citizen reported possible fraudulent activity using her personal information. She advised she recently talked with a representative from Xfinity via a telephone call. During the call, the rep began to ask for her Social Security number and she provided the information. She advised after the call she began getting packages delivered in her name to her residence and getting bills from multiple accounts in which she did not agree to. She advised she had more info to provide in reference to this incident. Currently she has put a freeze on her credit to prevent further accounts being opened or major purchases made in her name. Case forwarded to CID.
- A citizen reported getting a letter from the Small Business Administration two years ago in reference to an outstanding debt. He set the notice aside due to not having knowledge of the company. On Aug. 10, he got another letter this time from Pioneer Credit Recovery advising he had an outstanding debt of $46,000. He took the notice to his local bank and had a credit report pulled on his behalf. At the time of this report, nothing showed on his credit report as being outstanding from either company. He was issued an Identity Packet and advised to monitor his credit for fraudulent activity.
TUESday, auG. 11
- Deputy Billy McMullen responded to Comanche Trail in reference to criminal mischief. Contact was made with the reporting person who stated he received a call from a home builder. He informed him that someone had stolen wiring from the walls of the construction site for the houses that were being built. He advised when he arrived on scene to inspect the damages, he observed approximately 200 feet of wiring and it would take an additional 1,000 feet to re-wire the residences due to the damage done. He estimated the damages to be approximately $3,000 to $5,000. Case forwarded to CID.
- Deputies Dylan Buckhalt, Ashton Williams, Joshua Parker and Dakota Harper responded to the area of Pixie Circle and U.S. Highway 319 in reference to a Florida Highway Patrol Trooper requesting assistance with an irate subject on a traffic stop. Upon deputies’ arrival, Deputy Buckhalt gathered subject information from the Trooper and did a query for wants or warrants. The information provided wasn’t returning accurately so Deputy Buckhalt initiated a search of recent Intel Bulletins issued by WCSO Crime Analyst. By doing this, Deputy Buckhalt was able to successfully gather the correct name and demographics for a query. Upon conducting the query, it returned a hit for Jose Espinoza Jr. who was wanted on multiple Human Trafficking Warrants (Texas) with full extradition. The Trooper was informed of this information and ultimately placed Espinoza under arrest and transported him to WCSO Jail Facility.
WEDNESday, auG. 12
- Deputies Moen and Rivers conducted a traffic stop for no registration lights. Contact was made with the driver and sole occupant who was discovered to be in possession of a small amount of suspected marijuana, which was seized for destruction.
- Dollar General management at 1885 Crawfordville Highway reported a delayed theft. The suspect passed all points of sale with unpaid merchandise. Management was unsure of how much the merchandise was valued at this time, but do have a possible suspect. Case forwarded to CID.
- Timothy Mobley was arrested for battery after being in an altercation with a Walgreens employee. Mobley was taken into custody and transported to the jail facility.
THURSday, auG. 13
- A citizen reported his pharmacy sent him medication via FedEx. He discovered the package had been tampered with and the medication had been stolen. Due to no camera footage or suspect information, this case will be closed.
- A citizen reported the theft of an iPhone. The phone was delivered via FedEx, and was ordered through Xfinity Mobile. She received the package and the phone was missing. The phone had an estimated value of $900. Due to no suspect information, or video footage, this case will be closed.
FRIday, auG. 14
A traffic stop was conducted for careless driving. The driver was discovered to have a small amount of marijuana and paraphernalia in his possession. Both items were collected and turned in for destruction.
Deputy Dustin Saba was in the area of Hardees, when he was flagged down by a citizen, who stated someone was actively breaking into the Cloud Smoke Shop. Deputy Saba arrived on scene, parking short, and while approaching the business on foot, observed a male subject in a white hoodie exiting the store through a shattered front window. The suspect was attempting to gather all the products thrown from the store, when Deputy Saba began to give verbal commands to the suspect. A foot pursuit ensued through the wooded area behind the smoke shop. Deputies I. Kilbourn, Moen and Rivers responded to the area of C.L. Townsend to assist. A short time later, the suspect exited the wood line on C.L. Townsend, continuing to flee on foot. Deputy Rivers proceeded to chase the suspect, tackling him to the ground and taking him into custody. The suspect was identified as Colton James Sanders, 18. The suspect sustained lacerations to his back as he exited the store, therefore was transported to Southwood ER by EMS, so Deputy Love rode in the ambulance. CID on -call was notified of the incident. On-call Crime Scene arrived and processed the scene.
