This report is for activities April 5-11:

FRIDAY, APRIL 5

  • Anthony Hobbs reported losing his boat trailer tag. Hobbs believes the tag fell off his trailer while at the New Port boat ramp. The tag was entered into NCIC/FCIC as lost. Deputy Dakota Haddock investigated.
  • Samuel Pittman discovered items from a package had been stolen. The package was cut open and three Sam’s Card valued at $300 had been taken. Pittman was able to cancel the cards prior to them being used. This case has been sent to detectives for further investigation. Deputy Dakota Haddock investigated.

SATURDAY, APRIL 6

  • Deputy Edwin Grove responded to Shields Marina in reference to a lost/stolen trailer tag. The complainant advised his tag was gone when he returned from fishing. The boat trailer had been moved by employees into the overflow lot. The tag was entered into FCIC/NCIC.

SUNDAY, APRIL 7

  • Lt. David Pienta conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle being operated by James Hollis Jr. It was determined Hollis did not possess a valid driver’s license. Hollis was placed under arrest and transported to the Wakulla County Jail.
  • Deputy Zac Munroe responded to Walmart in reference to a theft that had already occurred. Contact was made with an Asset Protection Staff member who stated he observed a black male and female pass the last point of sale with a basket of items. When confronted the male stated he had paid for one of the items, a hoverboard. He took the board and left the store. Staff was able to get a picture of the vehicle the male was driving. The male was possibly identified by Walmart staff from other Tallahassee stores. This case has been sent to detectives for further investigation.

MONDAY, APRIL 8

  • Malachi Xavier Roberts was observed operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license. A traffic stop was made and it was learned that Roberts has never possessed a driver’s license. Roberts was placed under arrest and transported to the Wakulla County Jail without incident. Lt Mike Alexander investigated.

TUESDAY, APRIL 9

  • Melissa Gail Spiers reported an unknown person in a White Chevrolet Silverado crew cab doing burnouts in the parking lot area of Pigott Asphalt & Sitework. This incident was captured on video surveillance and provided by the complainant. This case has been sent to detectives for further investigation. Deputy Norman De Guzman investigated.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 10

  • Charles Porter received an email advising his Zelle account had been compromised. Porter stated a $500 withdrawal was made and transferred to another Zelle account. Porter stated he does not know this person to whom the money was delivered, nor did he authorize the transaction. This report was written at the request of Porter’s bank, which advised they were investigating the incident further. Deputy Edwin Grove investigated.
