BowStern, the Tallahassee marketing agency, gave updates on progress made for the past year to the Wakulla Tourist Development Council meeting on Thursday, June 5th .
Elle Tedder of BowStern gave a slide presentation to the TDC and said two of the videos the agency produced have gone viral on Facebook and Instagram.

Facebook had 19.4k impressions, 223 likes, 82 shares and 476 clicks and Instagram had 17.2k impressions, 425 likes, 138 shares and 14 comments. You can view these videos and many others by going to “Visit Wakulla” on Facebook and Instagram to share all the natural wonders of Wakulla and draw more visitors to come and enjoy all that Wakulla has to offer. The target audience is “the affordable vacation seekers” and “activity enthusiasts” who are within a 2 to 5 hour radius such as Atlanta, Albany, Columbus, Macon, Birmingham and Mobile. The targeted age groups are 35 to 54 years old and 35 to 44 based on the engagements received from the public on the sites, according to County Commissioner Ralph Thomas, who is the commission’s liasion with the TDC.
TDC Coordinator, Kinsey Miller said he wanted the council to think about a new web design.
“The one we have now is outdated and causing problems, we need to refresh and update for a website that needs less maintenance,” said Miller.
The TDC all agreed and voted for BowStern to consider a new design and present for future input.
The TDC is also considering placing bicycle racks at the Wakulla Welcome Center in Panacea. There are more and more people who want to ride the trail in Panacea, they want to stop and eat, and visit a few shops.
The marketing company is paid $7,875 per month and with all of the services provided it is actually over a $12,000 value, according to the company.
Funds are provided from Bed Taxes.
Kinsey spoke highly of the BowStern team and said “They are there whenever I need them.”
It is a new year and along with that comes an all-new campaign. The board is considering a particular copyright trademark slogan, that slogan will be revealed at a later date.
