This past weekend, members of Flotilla 12 hosted a Ramp Day for free Vessel Examinations at the St Marks ramp.
While there, they noted that there was an aid to navigation (ATON), Red #64, had been moved and was near the area where boats were launching. This presented a hazard for those launching and returning. Wade Olson, who is an ATON The auxiliarists called Station Panama City to report the problem. The ANT Team has us on the schedule to come over and return #64 to its rightful home. Please use caution in navigating this area!
If you notice that a navigational aid is damaged or has been moved, please report it to Station Panama City by calling Coast Guard Station Panama City at Coast Guard Station Panama City ANT Team at (251) 234-8139.
Thanks to Sherrie, we will always remember safe boating is no accident! You can be a part of making sure everyone has a safe day out on the water!
