Report finds county’s facilities are actually under-utilized

A report presented to county commissioners by Pros Consulting last week said the county’s recreation facilities – including the Medart Rec Park, and the gym at the community center – are under-utilized.

Judge Smith apologizes for remarks

In a highly contentious hearing last month, Wakulla Circuit Judge Layne Smith told the lawyers in the case that he should order the courtroom bailiff to draw his gun and shoot all three.

“I really don’t want him to do that,” the judge said. “But, guys, for crying out loud, what is this, the Keystone Cops, just not very funny?”

Clarification

Last week’s front page story “FLDE arrests 10 sexual offenders in Wakulla” included the name of Joshua Martin, 39, as one of the people arrested for violating sexual offender conditions.
That is not the same Josh Martin. also 39. who owns North Florida Land and Tree Service.
