The state Board of Education held its November meeting in the auditorium at the district office on Thursday.

The state Board of Education and Education Commissioner Anastasios Kamoutsas were in Crawfordville last week for the board’s November meeting, held at the Wakulla district office’s auditorium.
The meeting was held Thursday, Nov. 13.

The historical society brings together students of the old school

Alumni of the old St. Marks School gathered last week to share memories of the school.

The Wakulla County Historical Society held a reunion on Tuesday, Nov. 11, for those who attended the old St. Marks School. The eldest attendee of the event was 92-year-old, Davis Raker.

Through hard work and many, many generous donations The St. Marks Yacht Club was able to make a generous donation of $500 to Coast Charter School of Arts, Science and Technology (C.O.A.S.T.).

Preview of upcoming wrestling season

In his first season as Head Coach, Nate Litowsky led the 2024-25 War Eagles to a 22-6 record in dual meets, including significant wins over Suwannee (42-5), Yulee (22-8), 3A Buchholz (14-4), and a pair of wins each over Florida High (8-6) and 3A Steinbrenner (28-4). Wakulla also qualified 6 wrestlers for the FHSAA State Tournament. Their accomplishments were remarkable, considering half of the team consisted of six underclassmen and one wrestler who had no prior wrestling experience.
