FORGOTTEN COAST WINS GINGERBREAD HOUSE CONTEST

Mary Wallace of Capital City Home Loans and Heather Rybak of Rybak Realty teamed up to reach out to area businesses to hold a holiday gingerbread house competition as a fun way to build relationships within their business community and offer a creative holiday display for all. The houses were on display at Capital City Bank in the lobby in Crawfordville along with entry forms for individuals to cast their votes on their favorite. Each were given a small kit and they could make additions, edible or not, as they choose.

The count for the winner was tallied on Monday, Dec. 19, and the winner was Forgotten Coast Animal Hospital with their gingerbread dog house.

Prizes for the winner of the contest are from local area businesses as well and Wallace said that is to encourage shopping locally. Two winners were drawn from the voters who also won baskets of goodies from area business.

Entries were from Haddock’s Automotive, Forgotten Coast Animal Hospital, Florida Department of Environmental Protection, The Lodge at Wakulla Springs, Wakulla County 4-H, Shepard Springs Animal Hospital, Wakulla County Clerk of Court, Talquin Electric and TMH Walk-in Clinic and Private Practice.
