Saturday, MARCH 29

  • Deputy Kittrell conducted a traffic stop on County Line Road. The driver, Laurie Deterding, was found to have suspended driver’s license since June 2020. Deterding was placed under arrest for Operating a Motor Vehicle without a Valid License, and was transported to the Wakulla County Detention Facility.
  • Deputies responded to 45 Tobacco Sink Road in reference to a debris fire, Wakulla Fire responded to the scene, there was no injuries or structure damage.

Sunday, MARCH 30

  • Sgt. Will conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with no license plate. Contact was made with the driver, Ashley Burke. A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted where 5.5 grams of methamphetamine, marijuana and paraphrenia was located. Burke arrested and transported to the Wakulla County Detention Facility.

Monday, MARCH 31

  • Deputies responded to O’Reilly’s Auto Parts located at 2250 Crawfordville Highway in reference to counterfeit money complaint. Upon arrival Management stated a customer used a $100 bill on March 29 to make a purchase. The next day store personnel realized the money was counterfeit. The bill was collected and turned in for evidence. This case was forwarded to the Criminal Investigations Division.
  • Deputy Surrette responded to 1443 Old Woodville Road and made contact with a complainant who advised she observed a male on the property carrying a guitar case from the shed. The male was unknown and not allowed to be on the property. Contact was made with property owner, who wished to pursue charges. Crime Scene Investigator Price responded and processed the scene. This case was forwarded to the Criminal Investigations Division.

Tuesday, APRIL 1

  • Deputy Sullivan conducted a traffic stop on a motorcycle for no license plate at the Dollar General at Spring Creek and 98 Dollar General. Contact was made with the driver, Tracy Haire, who was found to not possess a motorcycle endorsement and the motorcycle was not registered. During the investigation, approximately 0.9 grams of suspected methamphetamine was seized. Haire was arrested and transported to the Wakulla County Detention Facility. The motorcycle was turned over to Quality Towing.
  • Deputies responded an under-construction home on Kiowa Trail in reference to a theft complaint. Contact was made with Timothy Watson, who stated an orange Generac generator missing/stolen from the site. Video surveillance was obtained. This case was forwarded to the Criminal Investigations Division.
