Yella Flies are on the scene! Pretty thick this year…. Be careful if you go outside.
I ran into a Sopchoppy local today and they told me they enjoy reading the Sopchoppy News. I have had a few people tell me they read my article. I really appreciate the love. I love to write. I have written music a lot of my life. Writing for the paper was different but not too much. I enjoy spreading good vibes!
I love my city of Sopchoppy very much. This just works out perfect!
The weather has been nice lately. We got a little rain. The temperature has been heating up. It’s beautiful in Sopchoppy year around. The downtown market was canceled due to the rain. It will be back next month.
I am DJ’ing at Medart Elementary this week. We do a 5th grade send off to middle school party. Always an awesome event.
I went to Mashes Sands the other day. It was absolutely beautiful. It’s getting really hot so I couldn’t stay too long. It was a beautiful day though. If you find some shade you have to watch out for the flies. I posted some cool pics on my social media. Check them out if ya get time.
The Second Harvest food drive will be June 20th at 9 a.m. Line up at the Sopchoppy Historic School (164 Yellow Jacket Road) Hosted by Sopchoppy Congregational Holiness Church.
Sopchoppy has a community dinner every Tuesday evening at 6:30. This week hamburgers and hot dogs are on the menu.
The 4th of July is approaching and they have named the headliner! Sterling Miller aka Jordan Miller. This should be an awesome show! He is from Wakulla County but currently lives in Nashville. He is a friend of mine and I look forward to seeing him. Get ready because you know Sopchoppy throws a big celebration on the 4th of July. Vendors, food, music and fireworks!
Watch out for the Yella Flys and enjoy your week! Sending you all love and good vibes from Sopchoppy.
